I have been ostracized because I don't look like what people imagine I should look. I went to school with the guy who's a junior klansman and he got the shock of his life when most of the kids did not know that I was Jewish word that my father was a rabbithey found out the time when I have to inform the school that I wouldn't be in during a certain period of time and test we're going to be run because it was our high holidays time when we don't go to school do any writing etc, well one of the Jewish kids from one of the reform or conservative places found out my name never really did sound very Jewish to them and I didn't go to their Temple because being Orthodox we had it in our house, none of those kids believed I was Jewish, and they didn't believe the schoolmate of mine was either parents she took after her father or mother, and her father was African-American this up because when I went to art class and the junior klansman classmate was there there's only three of us it's a private thing that you had to do on your own it's a work-study he said to me, -they say you're Jewish but you don't look it I always thought you were native American. -I will not go into what he'd been propagandize into thinking what Jews look like but needless to say how did my whole life. I never really minded when people thought that our housekeeper was my mother because she was native to the country we lived in and she was kind and she was more of a mother to me than my own mother was in so many ways. Even my kids think of her based on everything I've told them about her like she's really their grandmother and not the mother I had. But that's another story.
The point is they're twins and they look different so what when I first saw them and I didn't see the parents you know they show you the kids first and then they show you the parents after I just assumed that one parent was white seen plenty of kids from mixed marriages who resemble a mix of both some have more of the facial features of one parent over the other and the skin colouring of the other so it didn't really make that big of an impression on me, however when it turned out that young lady in question is albino immediately went aha I know about this I must be a lot harder when you're African-American, I say that for a reason I have known kids who the whole family is very blond but one of them came out albino and the young girl in question was off and make fun of because while the whole family is blond and blue-eyed pigmentation the fact that she has to wear clothes that cover her up to the point of looking like she's Amish almost kind of that white and she can get burned in the Middle Eastern Sun very easily made it more of an impression on me, my kids were the ones who always stuck up the kids were being picked on, because I told them and I talked them since they were little, my kids are kind of got the same thing my son is a golden boy he looks very golden and skin color and looks more like me which makes him look very dark and very some people think yemenites and some people think Arab and basically he's got my coloring and a lot of my features so he has a lot of the problems that I dodaughter on the other hand takes after my husband's side and my mother and grandmother and all the other members of the family we're just the ones who are kind of different. He can't be out in the sun anymore than I can if it really makes him sick he turns into a lobster you both do probably where people think that we are native American of some sort because we don't really Brown first day or get sunburned but we both get very very sick from being out in the sun I used to not but as I got older and I had to spend more and more time out in the sun I often ignored it and I just got sicker and I'd stay in the house for a few days until I felt better, but with my son it got to be ten times worse so he doesn't really go out much during the day. When he does he's pretty much bedridden when he comes doctors say he's not really supposed to be out during the day. He's not as bad as some people who have the kind of problem he has because he can actually go out with him he just has to be more careful which is kind of hard for him to do so he hardly goes out ways of going out and getting around it it's not easy knocked out by the time he gets home. So he goes out very rarely during the day. So I kind of get but these kids have to deal with but frankly the real reason they're being bullied is because because their beautiful people can't stand somebody who's beautiful and different you see the thing is they can't stand when you are shining star and the rest of the people are pretty much sand on the beach. Anybody who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

I've kind of funny that you said she used to hate the fact that her hair is longer eyelashes are blonde that experience in reverse no she's not blonde but I should explain she went to school with a lot of Ethiopian girls I want to accepted her as is other girls ostracized her because she's not from a rich family and let's just say a lot of racism goes on, and I have to teach you a few things that she could say to the shut them up because we come from equivalent of Jewish royalty so even though we don't go around bragging about it I told her if they come up with that kind of Bologna how she could throw it back in their face, but the only girls who really accepted her as is because she's not some rich snob like the rest for the Ethiopian girls who were bustin to get their Jewish education at this religious school. They were ostracized because of their color came home crying cuz she couldn't understand why she couldn't look like them they're so beautiful she said. And I kind of have some of the aspects of facial features that she has. I have to explain to her about racism she did not even understand what racism was, and I myself had gone through that at the same age that she was when my father got his job overseas. And I had attended the American school there. So I kind of can relate to what she's saying because my daughter came home 5-6 years old and she told me she wanted to be like them because they were so beautiful. I had to tell her you're beautiful too sweetie what you're really saying is the beauty that inside them not just what's on the outside. You see and I hit used to sculpt and sketch people so I know what beauty is physical beauty and a lot of those girls that I told you about the bully girls what you would call physically beautiful but they're ugly personality on the inside shows through does to my daughter and my kids are able to see that sort of when they look at people and see how they behave. Was so upset that she couldn't be like those girls I mention you know she wanted to be black and I had to explain to her that she couldn't be, never would be, never could be.

I am a fraternal twin! Our names are Cassie & Kayla! We were born almost 10 weeks early. All together weighing 4 pounds & 11 ounces. I almost lost her at birth. But I am so thankful I didnt. We are 33 now! I am 4'11 & she is 5'0. Kayla is a minute older & has an hour glass shape. I have a 'stick' shape as I like to call it. one of my classmates has a brother with albinism and he frequently comes to borrow her laptop and there was this one particular day he came to borrow her laptop and a boy like he-s notorious for being rude and he had the audacity to say -look at the way his eyes are moving- that is not okay mind you we are in a grade 2yrs ahead so we are supposed to show an example

Wondeful stories all around! By having someone your own age who is fierce in their love for you and protects you makes all these kids have an easier life and turns the non-different sibling into a champion for non-bullying, acceptance and empathy for others; it's a win/win for both and also makes the parenting go much smoother.

But why do people bully others? What makes them think they're better than other human beings. Can they even replicate a strand of hair? I can never understand why some people are racists, discriminate others, etc. It's so annoying. I hate bullies so much.

I'm grateful the girls are not blind. I hate bullies in general, but albinism is so rare, they're like unicorns. I hate to see that these girls are being bullied. I can't imagine how horrible it is in this day and age of social media.

These kids have trials because they are different. They sure do have wonderful parents and a wonderful family. They are adjusting beautifully to it all. This is what a strong family looks like. Those kids will do well in life.
