This, that, these and those can be determiners or pronouns. When they are determiners they come before a noun and can refer to people or things. When they are pronouns they are not followed by a noun and only refer to things. For more, Try: This is Sachin.
This is my friend.
This is my brother, Sachin.
Are the above sentences correct ? If so, I would like to remind you of the rule you told us in this video. The rule is -This, that, these and those , if uses as pronoun, cant refer to people. But in the above sentences, THIS is referring to people.
Please clear this doubt of mine.
