You guys shouldn't give the example of a phrase in the past tense trode lighlty it should be tread lightly, then in e.g. you could use a past tense of that verb underlining it or make it in a different colour. That way you do not confuse people who see that verb for the first time and in examples you also teach them the past form of it. Just a hint from an ESL student :) / Keep up the good work, luv from Poland :

I hope these videos can have subtitle because my listening is not good, i can't understand all the content of the news. But I really thank BBC for making a lot of useful video for us to learn English, my English is not very good but it's better than before. I will always support you.
