Contrary to popular belief, I've seen that sharks actually have relatively weak bites competitively to other animals. It's their massive size coupled with their speed allows fornsich force on impact, and with rows of razor sharp teeth, they can easily tear flesh from their pray and wound it with what's essentially a giant moving mass of sharp teeth.

ehhhh I live in California and surf all the time and you know how sharks think surfboards are seals. well just hoping this never happens too me thats why I put magnets around my surfboard cuz sharks do not like magnets

I think when scientists do this they should attach a real dead seal at the end of the rope. I would imagine it takes a lot of energy for the shark to breach, and have no caloric reward for its troubles.
