Lions instinctively know how to hunt and don't need to be taught. Not that it matters as hand reared lions are never released into the wild because of the danger they pose after losing their fear of humans. The best they can hope for is to avoid becoming trophies in the canned hunting industry and living out their years in a zoo or better yet with someone like Kevin Richardson.

With Christian the lion cub, they played soccer with him in a field. He learned to trip the ball up. He tripped the animals he was hunting too. It's the pride dynamics that are hard to teach.
