Wildlife filmmaking isn't just baby animals and exotic locations! Here are the highs and lows of the job. Denny: Phew! Tough going in mud.
Had to laugh at snake in rafters. SO scared of that little snake & spider. find glass jar & catch spider & release. easy peasy.
Grew up in Zambia - we had a 9ft python named Joe who we carried around our shoulders & neck as kids. also a vervet monkey named Barney. also guinea fowl. what a great childhood it was. Nkomo Camp was a military camp in bush - went on so many excursions into the bush. animals have to be respected at all times - as for that jackal. cute - takng that rucksack. so brave & cheeky.
Africa at it's best. what an interesting life even through the slog & waiting & bugs et al. times you won't forget.

I always wanted to be a wildlife filmmaker and photographer since I was a child. I really love nature and animals. How do I start with pursuing with this thing? What gears do I need? I've been practicing my photography in the last 5 years doing streets and landscape shots.

Sure do I can wait back at the office in the UK while the team goes and collects all the video footage, then the other staff put it together, then have Attenborough read what was written by him by other staff!

A great big thanks for all that you do to bring the world to us who without you braving the elements and snakes and spiders, would never get to see all this worlds beauty! You're the BEST!

I am dead laughing. Poor guy. First a monkey spits /sneezes at his face, then he sees nothing but a mist, then a coyote steals his bag. The luck at its highest.
