In which John Green teaches you about World War I and how it got started. Crash Course doesn't usually talk much about dates, but the way that things unfolded in July and August of 1914 are kind of important to understanding the Great War. You'll learn about Franz Ferdinand, Gavrilo Pincep, the Black Hand, and why the Serbian nationalists wanted to kill the poor Archduke. You'll also learn who mobilized first and who exactly started the war. Sort of. Actually there's no good answer to who started the war, but we give it a shot anyway. You can directly

Hello. First of all thank you for your videos. Could you make a series of videos about Eastern Europe history? To me its a bit messy I don't understand it very well. I am southern European so I feel I am missing an important part of Europe's history.

Although he was more moderate than his uncle, Franz Ferdinand cared little for Serbians and was also ready to take up arms if Serbian ambitions got in Austria-Hungary's way

2 mins and 38 secs, still he doesn't start talking about the why or how ww1 started. He's too much into theatrics and maybe he will get to the point. but I'm not sure.

What if. Corona is just a part of a long chain of events that would lead to a student to NOT go to school and that kid would soon start the world war III
