Your distinction or clasification of arganisations make no sense to me.
Im member of several Voluntary organisations - some of the pursue moral (normative) goals for the society, some of them are there just to benefit its members.
State, for exaple is mostly coercive organisation that provides services to its members.
Political party is (usually) voluntary organisation that seeks change of norms.
My DnD group is voluntary organisation that exist to benefit its members.
Clasify better! Formalize formally.

On formal organisations: -The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it, for the first time, with a sense of hope. Because if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too. -. Memorable human interactions involve Oxytocin - Oxytocin rises during R. E. M. sleep (together with a filling bladder, when we eat our fill, and rises with increased metabolism. It is also involved in memory (muscle memory. So bureaucratic impersonal approaches to mental health are particularly bad.

This concept of rationalization has killed the whole human side of the whole humanity. China does everything cheap and so there's no room for you to do any sort of independent creative work. You're in essence dead.
Moreover, even if you're dead and lucky enough to actually find a job where you live, you'll get no money because the government takes all the money from your in form of taxes. So everyone is winning. Congratulations to the whole humanity!

You have hammered down the rationalization a lot, which felt pretty meaningless. Have I not listened well or did you actually hammer down the rationalization because of the problems it causes and it has inside? If yes, don't you think more objective approach to the topic would be more informative and less prejudgemental?
(I'm curious if anyone would confirm or debunk this thought of mine, feel free to reply)

3: 40 Faith is always damaging. Bureaucracies get bogged down because not enough time is spent improving and optimizing the rules. They fall back to the traditionalism of stagnant rules just like organizations of old. Kinda makes you wonder if the distinction made here between modern and pre-modern organizations is at all clear cut. And sounds like -irrationality of rationality- touches on that.

Could you do an episode about beuraucratic structuring that was designed for a post-industrial world? Have any social engineers created a protocol for empowering workers to make judgements about overriding the protocol?

Let's not forget when the bar swings too far the other way, and companies start excluding the best candidates in favor of inferior ones in order to fill a -diversity quota-

I've done a presentation about McDonaldization for school and it's so interesting to compare the information I obtained then to the contents of this video.
