We try not to get into too much great man history here at Crash Course, but we have to admit: Napoleon Bonaparte is a pretty big deal. Join us as we track the rise, further rise, fall, rise, fall, mortal fall, and posthumous rise of Napoleon. This guy changed France, he changed Europe, and in a lot of ways he changed the world

With regards to the rights that women were denied, what was the quid pro quo? Obviously women went along with it so what was theirs to gain? The only thing I can think of is that men were conscripted to fight (and probably) die in war. non?

I do think you have a really flawed view of french history, if napoleon was definitely a dictator, you really don't put anything into perspective. Please don't try to put yourself as a history reference

My hypothesis is he wanted to conquer Europe because of he lost Haiti French richest colony resulting in selling Louisiana to USA. so he turned over Europe to continue building France.

He wasn't poor. He loved to be acknowledged as that but his family had resources and connections. He would more rather be considered as a low bourgeoise but definitely not poor.

Napoleon cant be judged by denying women rights.
when did women earned the right to vote in the land of the free? yeah that's right.

Your lack of research just makes this hard to watch. I wanna thank you for trying but it had been best if you would've done some work.

Two questions. why would the French want an Italian ruling them? and can you tell us how the people in Yaffo chased Napoleon away?
reply

why does everyone have to get so political in teaching history? this guy and all my teachers you could tell what they think
reply

let's remember that the French Revolution was lead by bourgeois and rich landlords. it wasn't the low class and peasants
