Welcome to Crash Course Geography hosted by Aliz- Carr-re! This course with be split into two parts. In the first half, we will focus on physical geography or the processes and phenomena of the physical world both above and below the Earth's surface. We'll ask questions like, why is the seafloor so young when the Earth is so old? or try to identify why winds and ocean currents are so important to life on Earth. Then we'll turn our focus to human geography and explore the ways people occupy the Earth's surface. Like how we've moved, settled, and used the land, re

I would absolutely love if Crash Course did a series about Mathematics history (The evolution, several great mathematicians, the beauty of it, the imperfections, the millennium Prize problems, the biggest discoveries in maths, etc(pure mathematics, applied mathematics, discrete mathematics and computational mathematics) (the main branches of maths) (why is it relevant. Maybe another branch of mathematics could spark an idea for a new series (Geometry and Trigonometry or Calculus. Ooh and I also wanted to learn general music theory or music history ( how to read music, the basic elements of it such as harmony, melody and rythm. Tempo, notes, chords, key signatures, intervals, scales, octaves, pitch, tone, timbre, texture, dynamics, symphonies, sonatas, etc. The types of instruments. What are even C instruments. Famous classical musicians.

is crash course music theory possible? i remember an old comment about it that you replied to positively (i think it was an early philosophy episode) and it's been my most wanted crash course ever since. and my hope for it has increased when youve released stranger courses than music theory like crash course games, crash course ai, and crash course science history. do you plan on a crash course music theory in the future? is it out of the question? i'd like to know how much hope i should have for a crash course music theory.
also, crash course geography looks great! never really studied anything geography or stuff similar to it, so this'll be good for me i think.

this is NOT Geography.
Geography is GEO and GRAPHIC. Geological Graph. Pictures about our Earth.
Mostly about the physical body of Earth. Magma, Stones, Sea, tectonical plates, behaviour of some Earth's regions.
about these stuffs.
The topic of this video is more like. History. Holistic history.
History that talk about many stuffs.
i personally dont know how to divide things, but I'm into this thing.
i simply just call it as HISTORY. Or. just KNOWLEDGE.
History about how Banana spread, how people adapt to the monsoon season, Aral Sea disaster, etc.

IM SO EXCITED!
In 7th grade I somehow got chosen for a (I-m not kidding this is real) geography bee
It was actually extremely interesting, it got me to learn more about it through years.
I can-t wait to learn so much more.
Knowing crashcourse, I will probably learn more then I ever would in school

Only issue i have is India hasn't existed for centuries. The people have but they're South Asian, not Indian. They're ethnically, culturally, politically and linguistically different from each other.

i'm excited for a new show/topic (i love the new Linguistic show. But can I say how much that pink/yellow shirt is exactly what I would think a geographer would wear? lol
reply

I am so excited! Human Geography was ny favorite class in high school, and now I use GIS regularly. I cannot wait to review and remember and learn new things! Aaaaaah!

I really dislike how people generalize the subcontinent as the -middle east-, it's a vast area of land as large as europe, specify please.
