They are Molluscs. This means they are distantly related to octopus, squid, and cuttlefish. They just kept the shell. They have eyes. A quick search found nothing about their intelligence, but I suspect they probably beat a lot of fish. (err, eat a lot of fish? :-)

I wonder how they taste. Like I like eating escargot, the basic garlic butter parsley is the most basic but best flavor. Will come snail taste better? How would you prepare it? These are the question the internet doesn't answer.

Geez - I did not know that there were venomous snails. Good to know
In Canada, we say leaves of three, let them be, to avoid poison ivy, but that wont kill you, just give you a nasty rash.

I gather this snails when I was young back in the as I grew up in an island in the Philippines. I just found out they ate fish. I thought they were eating algae. Cool video.

did you know land snail can do something similar but instead of deadly harpoon its a love dart. I wonder who evolved first to develop this tactic though.

I just got assassin snails which don't really go after fish or paralyze anything, but they do eat other snails. I like those suckers.

In 3: 14 You can see the harpoon halfway out of the proboscis and it looks like a needle if you pause at the correct timing.
