Still digging on this subject, but this is what I think for now.
A multi-step process.
1> Move a Magnet in relation to a metal conductor.
2> The Magnet pulls and pushes (depending upon N/S pole) on electrons of the valence shell of the metal conductor.
3> The Magnet pulling and pushing on the Electrons creates an Electric Field.
4> The Electric Field flows down the conductor based on a voltage difference between source and sink.

At positive half cycle, current flows from phase(line) to neutral following the path from higher potential to lower. You put a voltage tester on line, it will beep, on neutral, it wont.
At negative half cycle the phase potential is lower than neutral so current flows in the other direction. So line becomes neutral and neutral becomes line.
But, do you mean that we have supply in neutral during negative half cycle? In this case, why a line tester would fail to glow if it is tested over neutral line at the negative half cycle.
Please explain.

It is not the distance of the magnetic pole to the coil but the velocity of the pole passing the coil which determines the amount of current beeing produced. The higher the velocity the higher the induced voltage driving the current.
If you stop the rotation no current will be generated even if one coil is at the nearest point to the magnets pole as possible.
The energy needed to let the current flow comes from the energy to put in to turn the magnet.

Question: When the magnetic field is passing through the copper coil on the positive side for example, making the current flow in a particular direction, what tells it to go THAT particular direction? Do the electrons in the atoms just enjoy going left vs right depending on the North or South pole? I assume it has to do with the magnet pushing or pulling in the atoms, but just not sure. Don't want to assume! Thank you for any help on this: )

I dont know if anyone can answer this but I cant find an answer anywhere. The magnetic field generated voltage or current but where do the amps/ ions get generated from? I know that the copper wire has ion moving about it but once they are consumed by our utilities where are more ions generated from?

Great video!
Can somebody explain to me how a smart meter works? It's able to measure whether you're importing or exporting energy, but that seems like a difficult task if the current is constantly changing direction. It's just been bugging me lately and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere

Does that mean that copper wire already have electrons but it doesn't flow because there is no generator?
If yes then it should not be called a generator, more like electron flower i think

In your other video How Three Phase Electricity Works, you say the strongest part of the magnetic field is on the side, but in this video you say it's at the ends where the magnetic field lines converge. I'm wondering which is it? Thanks and great videos

But Faraday law says that voltage is equal to the variation of flux not to the flux. And when flux is at its maximun its variation is zero. So how it comes that voltage (current) is maximun when flux is maximum in your animation? Please explain it to me.

Does the peak voltage happened when the magnet is perpendicular to the coils? The video shows the voltage peak of each coils happened when the pole of the magnet parallel to the coils. Or does this only happen in 6 coils armature?

Could you get more current if you use a larger copper diameter? Like 10g vs 20g copper wire. For example will I the same current with less spools with a larger copper diameter? Compared to a smaller diameter wire
