Without the battery, the starter won't turn the engine. If the vehicle has a manual transmission, you can push start the vehicle and get the engine to run. Takes some effort, but it does work.

Why do cars need a motor that runs at gasoline guess what they don't they have one that runs on water will they ever put it out there of course not I got to keep the investors happy

Battery is just to start the car and run accessories. Once started it will stay running without a battery if you don't use anything like the radio.
