The manga artist, Hajime Isayama, got the idea for the Titans when he encountered a drunk customer at a coffee shop he worked in. He was inspired by the inability to communicate and realised the most dangerous thing was the human race.
In the anime, the character, Hange Zoe, is voiced by a woman. However, in the manga, Hanges gender is unknown to the reader. This is because the writer, Hajime Isayama, felt that Hanges gender didnt matter to the story line and left it up to the reader to decide.
The Attack on Titan manga sold over 8 million copies in 2014 dethroning One Piece for the top selling Japanese manga of that year.
Levi is around 53 and is the shortest adult male character so far.

I dont think people ever think how much big impact AoT has brought, i remember when some people say this anime is just another hero monster slaying kind of story. It really never cross my mind there's a whole another world outside the walls.

Bruh, the name of the series and manga comes from one of the seven titans named The Attack Titan, that is the translation from the Japanese, not Advancing Titans I believe. If I'm wrong, someone can correct me
