How the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park III would look if their DNA was pure, according to the current scientific knowledge. This is not a critique of the movies, but just a mere analysis for educative purposes. Size comparison of these dinosaurs is also included at the end. You can get prints, mugs, tshirts and more of my art at RedBubble: FEATURED TAXA: Velociraptor, Dakotaraptor, Corythosaurus, Pteranodon, Ludodactylus, Spinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Ankylosaurus

One more small detail about the Spino that JP3's hybrid differs from the original is the location of the nostrils. Spino's nostrils were closer to the eyes. Combining that with conical teeth instead of the typical serrated teeth other predators have, has led to speculation the Spino mostly ate fish! The nostrils are high up on the snout, so it can keep its snout underwater for long periods of time while hunting fish!

About the Spinosaurus and Ceratosaurus being hybrids, it wasn-t canon, it's just a theory, and because they-re different and stronger than their real-life counterparts, it doesn-t mean they-re the first hybrids since they-re other InGen dinosaurs that were genetically modified with the DNA of modern-day animals to look cool than accurate, which explains the frilled Dilophosaurus and the big and naked Velociraptors.

I think the concept for Jurassic Park's Spinosaurus is forgivable, considering what was speculated among paleo circles during the 90s and early 2000s. Particularly in regards to the theory that its skull was comparable to that of the distantly-related Suchomimus.
Also, I don't remember the Spinosaurus' crests being prominent enough, to be compared to the lacrimal crests of allosaurids.

there is a big debate on the feathured dinosaurs.
Most of the time, you can observe collagene on fossils but no feathers.
There are many paleontologist who still think that dinosaurus didn't turn to birds. Check the book of Alan Feduccia
PS: the -real spinosaurus- isn't accurate. We have fossils with long and harmed legs as we see in the JP movie

reply

I like how the reason there not accurate to the paleontology is because the DNA is filled with different animals like frogs and such it has a good reason because if there where genetically pure they would look different but there not and I like that
reply

It kinda sucks that the Ceratosaurus in JP3 is literally just a slightly edited T. rex cgi model with different colors, arms and a horn last I checked. They didn-t really bother to make a proper seperate sculpt for it in the movie.
reply

Would be really cool if we could get a modern remake of jurassic park with the herbivores being the violent monsters and the carnivores either just being angry geese protecting their family/nests or entirely indifferent to humans.
reply

I spotted a mistake when you were going over the Spinosaurus. When you said that the ingen version was a hybrid, you said -The Ingen Spinosaurus was probably the first attempt of creating AN hybrid. -. Nice video BTW.
reply

The only think that-s wrong is that the pteranodons wingspan is 10 metres wide not 5 the ceratosaurus is actually 9 metres not 7 the spinosaurus is 13. 3m not 15 and the t-rex in jp3 is 11. 3m
reply

Real Pteranodon had such weird, cartoony proportions. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the JP3 ones were the real thing and the real ones were from a movie - Great video as always!
reply

Bruh Mr. Mario could you please do one with dominion Jurassic World dominion I know that some features of the therizinosaurus and giganotosaurus are inaccurate I mean there-s a lot
reply

spinosaurus not always a quadropedal. spinosaurus is bipedal too you know dont said that ingen is wrong. ingen spino is true dinosaur and spino is quadropedal and bipedal
reply

I like that opening with the Alan dream and then the music after that. That was terrifying and creepy and it was a good choice for the abandoned facility and the mysterious.

0: 11 alan---- 0: 21 raptor jp3 0: 45 baby pterodactyl -- 0: 50 corythosaurus 1: 08 ceratosaurus 1: 23 ankylosaurus 1: 38 spinosaurus 2: 22 pterodactyl
reply

Well, according the show runner of Camp Cretaceous, Scorpios rex was the first attempt of creating hybrids, not Spinosaurus.

Hola, donde puedo ver tus dibujos(imagines de animales) soy de Ucrania, pero he vivido mucho tiempo en Cadiz)
reply

No, the InGen Spinosaurus looks like that because we thought that's what it looked like back then. It's not a hybrid.
reply

la razon por la que el spinosaurus de JP--- es diferente al real es porque en ese tiempo se creia que era asi
reply

This seems like a presentation made by a Ingen paleontologist to show DNA problems in the current dinosaurs version
reply

Really weird that JP Pteranodon have teeth. The -nodon- part of the name literally means -toothless-.
reply

Spinosaurus back in 2001 wasn-t believed to be semi aquatic yet, they still thought it walked on land.
reply

Wouldn-t the Dakota raptor be bigger than ingen-s velociraptor? The Achillobator was close to its size
reply

I Love The Real Dinosaurs And Pterodactyls And Mosasaurus Than JP Dinosaurs and Pterodactyls And Mosasaurus.
reply

The worst and yet my favorite Jurassic Park movie, I could watch it 5 times a day and not get tired
reply

The ingen Spinosaurus wasn't a hybrid that is just what we thought it looked like back in the day
reply

The Spinosaurus is not a Hybrid. The Scorpius Rex is the First Hybrid Dinosaur of Henry Wu
reply

What kind of program did you draw? Very cool! So beutiful! I want to know how to draw.
reply

Did ankylosaurus have the small horn spikes on the side or it-s armor has the Osteoderms
reply

No offense, but I think that specific Trex was 11 meters and the Spinosaurus was 13 meters.
reply

And also real ankylosaurus has shorter legs thats why real ankylosaurus is harder to lift
reply

'Pteranodon' literary meaning 'Toothless Wing'.
Jurassic Park: gives them teeth.
