I currently live in Bangalore, India. Its classified as tropical sawanah. Since it's situated at an altitude of 3000 feet the climate is much moderate. From June to November the temperatures are pretty much the same max of 28C and min of 20C with max temperatures rarely going below 24C or above 32C with rainy and dry periods. Since it falls on the rain shadow of the western ghats, it does not recieve much rain from the monsoon. From December to mid February is the best time of the year. Abundant sunshine during the day and highs of 27C and nights are pleasant with lows of 15C and occasionally falling to 12C. Summer starts on early March and last till late may. Days are very hot and highs can reach 37C and cools down to 23C in the morning. Occasional showers in the month of April called mango showers bring respite from the heat for a few days. May is bit humid and the afternoons are sweaty but thunderstorms form and make nights breezy and cool. Bangalore is known to have the best climate in India for the most part.

I live my whole life in this climate but I don-t have plan living in others countries just because of their climate, maybe I want to experience it especially the continental but I still love to live in tropical. It might be hot for others but here in my country its just hot between 9am to 3pm. and we have airconditioner to stay cold. or just stay in big malls to freeze yourself. sunrise and sunset in tropical are the best, the seas are crystal clear. the sky is so blue except for rainy seasons. you don-t even need to wear thick clothes whenever you go out. the brightness of the sun gives me so much energy to play outside when I was young. and whenever it rains. waa. the rainbow is just so amazing. insects are everywhere and I live to play with it. plus the people living in this climate are motsly-likely carry a happy face no wonder many people retire here.

Central Vietnam, in my opinion, has one of the most unusual and extreme (sub)tropical monsoon climates. The dry season (March to August) sees the scorching sun, while the rainy season (Sep-next Feb) is literal doom and gloom. The skies are persistently gray and most of the year-s 2-3 meters of precipitation drops from the gray clouds. Combined with the rugged terrain of the region, catastrophic flash floods and landslides are commonplace. Occasionally, when tropical cyclones hit, it can bring one day-s rainfall total up to that of a year. Moving south, there-s some what less (frequent) doom, but the gloom is still somewhat there. However, it-s balanced by a longer dry season, starting back in Jan-Feb, which makes Nha Trang an attractive holiday destination.
Hope it gets featured in the climate casebook!

on the island of Java, Indonesia. The monsoon forest climate type is spread in the central and eastern parts of the island. The monsoon climate type in Java has very high rainfall. Many areas in Java have a monsoon forest climate type and have rainfall > 4500 mm per year. Even the area with the highest rainfall in Indonesia is Baturraden, Central Java which has rainfall > 7000 mm per year and is included in the monsoon forest climate type. even though Indonesia itself is dominated by the tropical rainforest climate type which can be found raining every year. This condition caused Java to be called the rice island (Yawadwipa) because it was very suitable for rice cultivation. However, this condition also causes Java to be very vulnerable to flooding in September - April due to extreme rainfall.

I don't understand why anyone would want to live in Florida (or anywhere tropical for that matter) Hot + humid all year is just so uncomfortable, I'd rather have cold winters. You can bundle up when it's cold but you can't do anything about heat especially when it's also humid heat. It's just so nasty. Not to mention how many bugs there are in the tropics. And diseases. Yuck! But apparently so many people want to move to the tropics to retire. I don't get it.

The weather that proliferated ancient Humans when you think about it; ) The savannahs of east Africa were the birth of human origin well originally our ancestors were more adapted to rainforest climate and were more arboreal but as things got warmer that gave away to the savannahs and deserts of East Africa. This lead to bipedalism and our upward gait and one thing led to another.

I'm from this climate, specifically the Caribbean coast of Colombia. We have little to no rainfall from late November to late May, after that, rains are common. Interesting to me is the fact that we have a desert close to us in the Guajira peninsula, which i think also appears in a different peninsula in Venezuela, but I don't know why that happens.

Hi from Malaysia. Now its Jan. we have daily crazy heavy rain and this year its too much rain till many areas is flooding.
Can you cover a bit why this happen base on the climate and topography or current environment status. What would be be real reason for this rapid catastrophe. I love your video btw! Geography is my favourite subject.

I am from chennai, india, a tropical monsoon climate. But we are unique i guess. We have a very hot climate all around the year with rainfall for just 2 months. Being in a rain shadow region, we face water scarcity for 3 months and flooding for one month. During summer the air is bone dry with very hot climate.

I like the way you introduce the topic to your viewers with skimming visuals, music and commentary. You have done complete justice to the most important part of the video, that is providing information but I enjoyed the subtlety with which you have done it through great visuals and soul stirring music. A great job!

The tropical monsoon savanna climate is the best but out of the three of them I prefer the monsoon because there is an abundance of water and it does not get too cool or dry.
