China and India are the world-s two most populous countries. They are also burdened with two of the most famous -hot- deserts - the Gobi desert in Mongolia-China and the Thar desert in India-Pakistan. China-s soil erosion is the most serious of any country in the world, and an estimated 400 million people are now being moved in order to secure more arable land for farming

It is a fact that thousands years of Chinese generations have deforested every bit of the east Asian continent. Since times immemorial Chinese would cut twigs, trees and everything that has thick wood for fire to cook and heat. Multiply this by their massive population and desertification is their creation. Glad to see they've realized it since the 1980's and have an active -great green wall- program. I saw it from train travelling the region and it was one of the greatest thing i saw, as you could tell there are hundred of kilometers with human planted trees. You even wonder how it is possible to plant that many trees. But building an ecosystem is more than just planting trees and it seems they're understanding that and involved the locals and botanists.
China never advertised that problem, it's the first time i see it although i knew from my own deduction that the way chinese population lived was destroying forests and causing soil erosion. Already in the early 1900 their rivers flooded precisely because all the vegetation near rivers has been cut and removed by hundred of past generations of Chinese.

It must be mandatory for all cattle grazing people that they should not make the cattle move instead they should stay in one place only and fodder must be fed by cutting grass to only half it's size. If grass has grown 4 meters, then only 2 meters of grass must be cut.
These measures along with sales bunds Ina curvature pattern shall help reclaim desert.

To save the planet China and India needs to depopulate to 100 million. for a start. and 30% of trees needs to be replanted on the whole of the planet. It takes minimum 100 years then for the trees to grow. it means 3rd generation will see them full size. before it is too late. or they will fight the sands in vain.

Pray for Yulin to disappear. and all its demonic inhabitants to perish. -This is a city of dog-eaters, and they have an annual festival of eating dog flesh. - These are Satan; s own spawn. may they all perish as violently and painfully as the millions of dogs they slaughter.

Wow. From the images, we see that this is at least 15 years old. The cars and more important, NO CELLPHONES AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY PAYED ATTENTION FOR WALKING ON STREETS--. Amazing remaster software you guys have. Image is in HD for real, not like the fake 1080 dpi videos -

Once you create the dust bowl with the plow and do it for a hundred years with the sun on it's back and chemicals to help out. Don't blame the animals that made the soil in the first place. Without them, all you have is sand.

How old is the desert of North Africa? Doesn't it make you wonder wonder what could be underneath all that sand. It's been there so long as long as the pyramids have stood in Egypt. That sand could be hiding cities of gold.

This is old. China last decade been defeating the desert. Planning trees since the 70s. It's paying off in 2022. China build the world's biggest solar power panel station in this desert and a highway too.

It's a 90s video. no body have mobile phones on their hand, the clothes style is exact 90s style. Why you put such a video without any comment on the production year?

This is a very old video posted recently. China has successfully converted much of her dessert to forests, and the Chinese people dress and look so much better now.

so long petrol is extracted in Takla Makan, China will never grant the native Uigur population any rights except persecution, torture, forced work camps and death
reply

this is already an old docu, but it's important to say that flood irrigation is no longer viable option. neither open water canals exposed to the sun.

Moving desert is natural process. geologically not long ago the sahara was once green 11000 - 5000 years ago. with very little human activity.
reply

This is Chinese propaganda. Most these people are paid actors. You can't believe anything the ccp says, nothing they say, show or explain is true

Man has certainly done a lot of damage and we should have started putting it right a long time ago. I'm not sure we can fix it all though.
reply

We all need to do our part. For us to continue to consume we must also create new life in the real world not in computer generated one.

So sand is burying whole cities. but it's so easy to find 300 year old clay pot chards on the surface. got me thinking. waste of my time.

Thanks. I agree with you: ' Not even stones can withstand its speed '. Let me check whether any other force is speedier than this!
