Greenhouse DIY or Buy Building a STURDY DIY Greenhouse in 5 days!

In this episode of DIY or Buy I will show you how I built a really sturdy DIY greenhouse over the course of 5 days. I had to build a new one because my old commercial one got destroyed during a storm. That is why I used the opportunity to create a DIY greenhouse by myself in order to find out whether it makes sense to DIY such a project or whether we should stick to the commercial solution instead

It would be amazing to have a conveyor-robot attached to the ceiling so it can take care of the plants/harvest without having to enter the green house.
And so you do not need empty space in between plants for you to walk
(I made a small version on my balcony, but a bigger one would be much better)

DIY for sure. Much nicer and sturdier. I wish I was in Europe when building things, you have wood that comes in logical sizes. like 90mm 90mm. In Freedom land we'd call that a 4 by 4. Because it's 4 inches except it's not. it's 3. 5 on a side. Which is basically 90mm. Such a dumb system we have.

Chainsaw? better to use a circular saw for cutting that lumber.
Really surprised you use a chainsaw as chainsaw is typically ONLY for trees and comes with more danger than common circular saw.
I had to close one eye everytime I say you wielding the chainsaw to cut wood.

I am waiting for next video when you will add some smart technology to make this greenhouse more automatically. Eq. Temperature sensors which open the windows automatically or some solar panels plus wather pump to wather the vegetables

The silver sticky tape will ruin your project as the underneath glue will degrade over time. You will probably need to repair it a few months later by adding another plastic sheet on the top.

Most detailed and interesting green house builds I've seen! I guess that's what happens when you apply the electronics level of detail in other build types

awesome job! If I do something like this in the future though, I'd probably assemble the roof before putting it on top of the frame, just for ease of building

The wood prices in Canada right now would make it cheaper for me to make a greenhouse out of solid gold than dimensional lumber: P

The problem of hard to reach on the roof may be solved if we build the roof and the body seperetly and put them together later?
