First Crusade Part 1 of 2

First Crusade Part 1 of 2

video description

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
The First Crusade was one of the most extraordinary, bloody and significant episodes in medieval history. It began with an appeal for aid from the Christian Byzantine Empire, threatened by the rising power of the Muslim Seljuk Turks. But when Pope Urban II preached a sermon at Clermont in 1095, the result was unlike anything ever seen before. The Pope offered spiritual salvation to those willing to go east to aid their fellow Christians in a holy war, and help liberate Jerusalem from Muslim rule. Knights and peasants alike signed up in their thousands, leading to the disastrous People's, or Peasants', Crusade, then to a much more organised and powerful Princes' Crusade. Their forces gathered at Constantinople, where they made an uneasy alliance with Byzantine Emperor Alexius I Comnenus. Entering Anatolia, they helped to win back the city of Nicaea, then won a decisive but hard-fought victory at Dorlyaeum, before marching on the great city of Antioch

The European crusades was a response from the Papacy against a powerful United Muslim army that had destroyed Byzantium. Europe had no such United force. Christianity was the propaganda used to preserve the power of the Vatican (Holy Roman Empire. Bourgeois history telling at its finest.

The crusaders of the first crusade were of GERMANIC descent. The Flemish, the Franks (not french, which are Gallo-roman) and the Normans. A tiny population was french
Most crusaders had a very germanic looking face structure, similar to the actor Dolph Lundgren for example.

The first crusade allowed Europe to do some house cleaning as many of the participants from the peasantry to the nobility were thugs and criminals looking for riches and plunder and were predisposed to spilling blood to get it. Most of these men never returned.

So basically; the Pope Urban not only started the Crusades but also had an influence in present day Muslim countries who go on Jihad and shout God Wills It, with the hope of using the holy war in place of their potential damnation in the after life. Wow

We are born knowing right from wrong we ignore this innate gift! So religion was established. Fear of. Wrong acts took over the innate gift and fear replaced it. But everyone is more then able to tune into the in born gift.

This war occurred because of the spread of hoaxes that Christians were prohibited from going to Jerusalem
actually Muslims respect the Christian religion but Christians are provoked by the spread of the hoax.

1050A. D. didn't the first Crusades begin in like 638A. D. with the taking of Jerusalem? The expansion of the Muslim empire happens long before 1050 A. D.

Why defeat the muslim army and kill the innocent city of Jerusalem people if you just need to leave Frederick Barbarossa sarcophagus in Al - Quds? ?

It is hard to be a Turk, because you have to fight the world. But it is harder not to be a Turk, because then you would have to fight the Turks.
