Although a bit off topic, it's a bit amusing to find out that the first treaty between China(12: 07)and the Russo-Japaness war (38: 40)all happened in the same last rulling dynasty in China. While it doesn't seem that much of a deal, one has to know before that there's full 9 of them, so we allways feel like that last 300 year was the end of the thousands years of imperial era, and therefore rather modern to us.
Back in school when we were taught about western history it allways feels like a flash, with everything done within mere decades or a century. and turns out it did

Its crazy how many wars, and changing of territory happened in past. We really weren't taught any of these in American schools. So interesting. So violent. So many useless lives lost.
