The Machines That Built America: Harley-Davidson Transforms Motorcycles Forever - History
video description
From mopeds to choppers, e-bikes are the most fun I've ever had on two wheels with a motor. Also the cheapest with the least amount of maintenance. Accounting for traffic and shortcuts it's also the quickest.
If it has wheels I probably operated it, I love my e-bike the most.

One of the police officers in Texas in Dallas to be precise for the first mounted on a motorcycle police officer was my great-grandfather William McLaren. He was also the first one to retire from the force from that position because of an old lady heading him on the motorcycle he still worked for the police officers after that but no longer as a mounted police officer.

Your video thumbnail is a picture of my great uncle Oscar Becker, one of the five Becker brothers that started Harley-Davidson from day one as test riders, racers and shop foreman. Every Harley-Davidson documentary I've seen never mentions them yet the Harley-Davidson black book of history has many pictures and stories about the Beckers.

I grew up next door to a 1927 Indian motorcycle that was sitting in a shed.
It didn't work, and it was just sort of dying of cancer, but it was all original.
You probably could have bought that bike for about $500. 00 in the 1970s.
Good luck today.

It also created a group of men that all dress like clowns, drive the same thing, shave the same way, think the same way. And what's with those leather vests and why do they all have to cut the sleeves off all their t-shirts? Odd group of people.

Harley and Indians didn't actually make the 1st bike in the US, and Harley didn't have the 1st patent. Krosing I believe was the 1st bike.

i like how in every single one of the action shots you can clearly see all the bikes are just walmart bicycles with two stroke kits on them

I own a Harley and think they-re awesome motorcycles, but also think those guys with leather vests with patches all over look ridiculous.

Harley & Davidson were followers, not leaders. Still a mediocre overpowered, over-priced, motorized cycle, with very poor handling.

Most roads in the US in 1902 were dirt with two ruts. Tough ride no matter what you were driving. Nice video.
