Allies Hunt for the Most Powerful German Battleship - Biggest Battles of WWII Alfred: Bismarck was gangsta. Bismarck blew up Hood within 5 minutes. The British basically jumped Bismarck. Bismarck couldn't maneuver and all them hundreds of shells some at point blank range still couldn't get the blows they needed. sunk or scuttled doesn't matter the fact is Bismarck took their over-kill hits and still stayed afloat.

I don-t care what people say about this opinion but I do not consider Bismarck a battleship. She was a commerce raider.
Her ENTIRE reason for existence was to hunt, track and destroy supply convoys. Not to engage with other warships. She was the surface equivalent of a U-Boat.

-Is speculated by some that they decided to shoot at Rodney because she was old and weak-
Or maybe because she was the biggest threat, old or not, 16 inch shells are 16 inch shells, specially because Bismarck has no protection for that caliber.

Third best episode after The Night Fighters and Dogfights of the Future. Wish there was an animated documentary about sea battles from Manila Bay 1898 to Sea Battles of the Future (y'know like how Dogfights of the Future was made.

After searching for Bismarck all morning they finally spotted it at 10 am. By 930 am the Bismarck was done and over. 30 minutes in matrix time cause they obvious went backwards-----

Uh, yeah, the only problem with your theory, cuz I had wondered about that too, Yamato & Musachi had NOT been launched yet. Their hulls have yet to touch ocean waters.
