somalis are not related to people of other parts of Africa thats incorrect. somalis have their own language and nobody speaks Swahili which is Kenyan and Tanzanian language, which is another lie, stop making history up please or I am gonna report it. if you don't know something make sure to first to do your research but don't just randomly say stuff man, also somalis are homogenous population we are not mixed with arabs and other africans this seems to be coming up every time and it should be stoped its an another lie, most people in continent of Africa were isolated and there was never mixing going on since people in old world were not like today. arabs never settled in horn of Africa which is another lie, I have reported this video and it shall soon be deleted next time make sure to make real video that is historical accurate.

Portuguese ships unimpressive. Just check the battle of Diu, and on the Mediterranean the siege of Tunis by one of the Crusades, one Portuguese ship break that siege on boats not suted for seas like the Mediterranean. Nice video, beautiful animations, nice poised narration, but sadly always the same biased views of history. And speaking of the battle of Diu if you would search all that lead to that battle you would not speak about the Portuguese sailors and merchants in that terms. As for the atlantic slave trade if truly compared with the arabic one would put to shame so many for their white guilt and their muslim umma. Viva Cristo Rey.

I love these first contact videos you make like the one you made with the Vikings! You should look into the Castilian exploration of the Canary Islands. The original inhabitants of the islands, the Guanches, were said to be very tall with blue eyes and red/blonde hair. The Romans, and Carthaginians/Phoenicians were said to have interacted with these people. I suggest you look into these fascinating people!

This style of video is perfect. The adept and fitting, but not overly pretentious language builds a framework for the video. And the incredible artwork acts as the walls of the video, the polish that completes it. Never change this, PLEASE. This style of video is the perfect way to tell history.

Sound design and tone! I love the atmosphere. Honestly have wet eyes whenever your videos turn toward the purple tone of nostalgia, when the highs of history turn low I feel the inevitability and its excellently executed. Great work!

It seems to me that China has a great potential to dominate the global maritime trade at that time but their new Emperor and their own ideology prevents them from doing so and prefer to shut themselves from the foreigners

Fascinating history, great content (love all of your drawings.
But many would put Ming China in the Early Modern period. In fact, Zheng He's sails were just decades before Portugal and Spain's maritime adventures.

Shitting all over the place, There should only be one army and with that only have one role, peace keeping! Designing weapons and distributing them to different competing counties is irresponsible!

It seems that not much has changed. Ancient China has been trading goods with early civilizations in Africa. Today, China still trades with most, if not all countries in the African Union.

This is amazing! Those Chinese hulks are ridiculous sized. Takes some serious engineering to make something that size at all, never mind making it seaworthy.

Wondering how it was known that the Chinese gifted white gold to the African emissaries. As far as I know, white gold is an invention post WW2.

Thanks for this emergence of Far East worlds. As a Somali American learning more of my history, I found it pleasurable and educational.
