-RECIPE IDEA- Would love for Sohla to do a show on Grits. Here in South Carolina, some call the dish hominy. I have heard it called porridge & polenta, as well. Some love to make them with milk or water. And there are definitely heated debates on adding sugar or not.

Sohla is a pleasure to watch! FYI, the cassava bread (casabe) is usually -reconstituted- a bit with a misting/sprinkling of water (usually salted. Never had it with fish, but with pork, where you use it to make wraps. Not Puerto Rican though, Cuban.

The -boucan-, or the Taino grill. Hence the term -Buccaneer-. Because how would pirates preserve their meat on ship? Using the boucan to smoke said meat. Thus, a Buccaneer is truly someone who eats smoked meats. Ain't history grand?

Great show! I would like to see you cook a Native American dish consisting of Buffalo tongue, wild rice, wild garlic, wild onion with pinion pine nut bread and followed by a chokecherry dessert.

Love this show! I'd like to see what the Native American's did with acorns. I know they made a form of bread, but what else did they do with acorns?

I mean your arm looks like a conglomeration of a bunch of stuff gone wrong like a recipie if the worst combined together to be sickening

Have you make the Pasties from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? Would be interested to hear their history and see it cooked. Thanks

I watch every episode as soon as I see it, but YT almost never recommends it to me. I have to search for Sohla. What gives?

Question I'm watching your first recipe which is the pork would they not have had garlic to include into their brasing liquid

Hi I did not downloaded the rythym of music video last time I'm run out of electric. Download this video now

Her cutting board ignites, the camera keeps rolling and she handles it like a champ. Brava, Chef Sohla.

Did the bread part of the video miss the first proofing step? You went right from kneading to de-gassing.
