Famous locations of Rome, now in a then and now format. You can see two video sequences from the same point at the same time. Today we will walk through the Forums, the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus and the Baths of Caracalla and see what they looked like in the 4th century CE. We are the History in 3D team and our goal is to create the most detailed, accurate and complete 3D reconstruction of ancient Rome. We use our detailed virtual reconstruction to demonstrate the grandeur and beauty of the Eternal City as it was during the Roman Empire. 1: 09 from Quirinal towards Colosseum 1: 24 Colosseum, Via Sacra, Forums 3: 38 from Forums towards Tiber 4: 10 Tiber from the Cestian bridge 4: 26 from Tiber towards Circus Maximus 4: 54 Circus Maximus 5: 29 from Circus Maximus towards baths of Caracalla, passing Via Appia 6: 10 Baths of Caracalla 7: 53 Capitolium and Palatine from Tiber and Transtiberim I always found Assassin's Creed Brotherhood to be frustratingly tantalizing. Ubisoft's renaissance Rome was gorgeous, but it's the era you guys are working on that most players really wanted! Beautiful work!

Fantastic video - I love it! What a great idea to contrast Modern Roma with Classical Rome!
side note: sounds like you used the Josh voice from the ElevenLabs text to speech generator. I did as well for a project, and I hadda laugh when I 'recognized' the announcer, lol!

The baths of Caracalla from the outside looks like a modern office building. Just install glass panels and you couldn't tell that it's a building designed around 2, 000 years ago.

Brilliant piece of work. It was enjoyable and informative to watch and brought back great memories of my visits to these locations in 2018 and 2019. Thanks.

It’s a shame that so much of Ancient Rome was pillaged for building material for medieval construction. They didn’t appreciate what they had!

Awesome work! Perhaps one day you could do a video on how Rome looked in the aftermath of the Vandal sack of 455 Just a thought! Keep up the great work!

I believe I would like to go back as a tourist just to walk these places when they are at the height of their beauty. Looking forward to VR.
