The Curse of Oak Island: A Significant Find at Site S6 - History Cailean: I'm beginning to believe that those guys are just a bunch of amateur treasure-hunters with more money than sense. I'm getting tired of all these -sporadic- investigations. If I was in charge, I'd have a small army of metal detectorists going over every acre. I'd also have a team of professional archaeologists - you know, people who actually know what they're doing. I'd have a LIDAR scan of the island and also ground radar scans of the swamp. The pieces of wood retrieved from the swamp had definitely been tooled. I'd want geophysics of the bald spot and sonar scans of all those huge holes. Recruit a few historians and researchers I want a concentrated, consistent approach to any future dig on Oak Island. If it's all found to be the Knights Templar idea of the biggest practical joke ever, that solves the mystery.

Bottom of money pit is a sediment tank. Hydraulic water tunnels with dams to manipulate and control water level in Smith's cove to do maintenance and repairs on ships. No treasure. Wooden levels in money pit support dirt to keep water tunnels flowing. No booby trap tunnels. They aren't considering several hundred years of sediment build up which clogged the water tunnels. When the original diggers dug up the money pit they basically unclogged the water tunnels and the water pressure was able to purge the system and the water started flowing again. The island was used as an outpost for privateers to do maintenance and repairs on their ships after and before crossing the ocean.

I don't believe there's anything under the ground on Oak Island, however if there is the only way they're ever going to reach it is if they back up and away from the original hole, and after retrieving about 1200 ft or further back they must mine in on an angle downhill to the pit just as if they was digging a regular mine. dig down grade gradually until you're deep enough and then over to the pit itself. that's the only way they will every reach the source of whatever is creating all the hoopla

THE -MONEY PIT- IS NOTHING BUT AN OLD MINE. During the first season, it was revealed that the British had mined for gold on the island, but found -fool's gold- (iron pyrite) instead. This would explain the deep pit, with platforms at 10' intervals. It is possible that pirate captain Anderson, or the -Pirate Admiral- Peter Easton, perhaps buried treasure there. However, pirates generally returned to reclaim their -deposit-. The small findings of trinkets & metal pieces confirm this theory.

I have a question for Marty or Rick. something that I have been curious about since I saw the episode where Mr. Nolan's son or grandson gave you all the key that Fred had found on his part of the lots. my question is, in its closed position I noticed the the butt of the key slightly resembles Oak Island and that there is a cross within that. if laid over a scale picture of the island, does that cross land on a specific location on the island. just curious

I like it. just tired of the whole story being repeated every move they make. its like 50% of the show is background story. most fans watching already know, so stop already. someone new to the show can just look up old episodes if they want to get caught up.

If you guys want to know the truth, watch the documentairy: lost footage of Africa found that proofs advance civilization that they kept hidden for centries. Check the symbols and world language. So, that they can't translate the symbols is a joke-.

The Curse of Joke Island. Is this shaggy dog story still going? Will they find the works of Shakespeare? Will they find the Holy Grail? Or will they find Gary Drayton's long lost thermos flask? I hear it's a real bobby dazzler!

Every week they have some so called new expert come on and tell them where the money pit is. Problem is they never find anything. Now I-m not saying I don-t wish them luck but I just don-t think there-s anything there.

Follow the French drains. Hope they find something good. I think they will although I think others in the past have. 7 must die, well both Nolan and Dan did so that's 9 dead where I come from. Good luck guys.

Could it be that? No. Could it be that? No. Could it be that? No. What if? No. could it be a? No. Six years of no. You need to throw a couple more coins in the money pit if you want me to keep watching.

The announcer everytime every episode! Could it be! A peice of wood 160 feet down at S6! Does this mean someone placed some wood 160 feet down at S6? Is the treasure just below the wood at 170 feet?
reply

It wouldn't surprise me if the producers start to drag in medieval French families to convince us even more theirs treasure on the island, there us NOTHING, The programme IS THE MONEY PIT

those are all ships timbers the island has indigenous oak trees because the timbers grew shoots like cloning a plant. the island is man made the lost templar fleet sits under it.

They not gonna find anything until the 7th person does right isn't that the legend. Either way I call Bs. are they looking for gold or lost manuscripts of William Shakespeare

The same reason we watch this show with excitement is the same feeling and reason as to why the Laginas keep searching. more emotions than logic at this point in time!
reply

My question is, if the Pirate or whoever went to such great lengths to booby trap the treasure well then how the heck were they supposed to get it back out? DUH!
reply

More wood. Its been going on for yeeeaaaars with the same teaser. I want them to find things, but its been so deflating over n over. I wish more for them.
reply

If there was treasure it would have been found by now. All the wood is probably from a dock made to hold ships. But at least they got a woodie. Ilmao!
reply

This show is in the toilet now getting a bit much all they find is past exploration remnants the whole mystery is the fact that their is no mystery
