Just magnificent! It was great to see the Forum of Peace. I haven't really seen it replicated with detail like this and in your other video showing the Forma Urbis on the wall inside. Love the music when the facade of the temple is shown at 1: 04. It certainly fits the scene. Likewise at the part from when the camera pans up the five column monument at 1: 40 -1: 55. The next scene and music are great to at 1: 56-2: 12. That sure does look like the wall of the natatio of the Baths of Caracalla. Is that the case I guess you must be working on new version of it too. Love your most recent video too of the Campus Martius too! keep up the great work!

The music fits the scene perfectly. For those who don't know, for the movie The Fall of the Roman Empire a massive outdoor set of the Roman Forum was built. All the buildings were made in three dimensions with concrete, stone, and plaster as they would have looked in AD 192. The film bankrupted Samuel Bronston's production company, but what a way to go! I urge you to see the movie if only for the sets.

I just kept imagining what if Rome survived thru the dark ages and thrived. Would we see centuries earlier the creation and starting of the steam era 1400 electricity Mega cities Blimps Establishing a trade route with China, asia
Or would there be stagnant development and would follow our own history, where the advancement would only happen at the same time as the renaissance period

Does anyone know if there's proof or evidence for the profundity of statuary adorning the temple parapets and the columns as well as their gleaming, seemingly bronze color Plus, what the statues even looked like Never seen any in museums, would be curious to know if someone's a real history genius out there.

It's impressive to consider that they designed and built all of that without any computer aids, without electricity, without power tools or machinery of any kind and some of those structures still stand more than 2000 years later!

The West will never regain their former glory or attain this level of civilization. Ever. We can throw Renaissance Age of Exploration Industrial Revolution at it but we will always be dwarves on the shoulders of Giants

brothers can you feel it in your hearts The pain of monumental loss, such greatness swept away. Yet, we smile, because we know what is coming. Glory and eternal beauty awaits, you can see it as well brothers

Amazing reconstruction! But I wonder what temple is the one in the middle of the Capitoline Hill, on top of the Tabularium, at 2: 14. It's between the Temple of Jupiter and the temple of Juno Moneta.

The ancient city of Rome, was considered by the Romans as a very disorganised and dirty city in comparison to the many other greater cities of the roman empire.

Tu regere imperio populos, Romane, memento. Hae tibi erunt artes, pacisque imponere morem, parcere subiectis et debellare superbos! Regina Italiae!

Why won't we just REBUILD all of that 1: 1 and let people live there, wear togas and speak Latin We have the technology to make this happen!

It would have been an awesome experience to bear witness to the might of the Roman Empire,
back in the day.

Think it wasn't the huns and the Visigoths that brought the downfall of Rome, it was Roman politicians!
