Yeah-I ran into my brother-s room saying I got my 90 points then heard the third clue. I had gone with Schumann too. Didn-t get Smetana until fourth or fifth, I was so disappointed and stopped paying attention and can-t remember now.

I was struggling badly and after the first 5 clues thought this must be a completely unknown composer for me, but finally clue number 7 made the difference and I knew who this composer is. 40 points, but it was a struggle!

I got it on the last clue. At the beginning I didn't think about Smetana at all. But I just remembered that he wrote the symphonic poem moldau.
A very nice quiz and now I know a lot more about him.-

I was way off track, and knew it by clue six. So I scored a big goose egg. But it's yet another chance for me to dive more into that composer. I never realized he ended up institutionalized.

Got it on 3. Czech composer too early for Dvorak or Janacek so probably Smetana. Try his str. quartet From My Life. Heart rending impression of tinnitus which heralded his deafness.

Clue #2 was really good because it makes you think of Schumann but I knew his birth/death years were a little earlier. So only 80 points for me this time!

Lol Smetana is like, Beethoven and Schumann mixed together.
As soon as He said 'Died in an Insane Asylum, I straight away went 'SCHUMANN!!!'

80 points. Clue 2 made Schumann come to mind. Got lucky after clue #3 since the composer is the only one from that country I know of :-)

Hi Gareth could you please explain to me why note beaming appeares to be wrong in more complicated sheet music like Liszt, Chopin.
