12 Things Introverts Are Best At Doing Haldurson: As an introvert, I often HATE sales people, their whole attitude. I can usually spot a sales person within a minute or two of a conversation. They are far too eager to please, but only for their own personal benefit. And they have a tendency to press my buttons and cause my internal warning lights to start blaring in my head. I was an IT person who, at one time, had to deal with far too many sales people. The ones I hated the most were the ones who would, instead of listening to what I wanted, would insist on small talk, especially when I was angry about something that their company was to blame for. I remember an Apple sales person who delivered computers to us pre-installed with so many gd viruses and malware and it was like pulling teeth to get them to stay on point and deal with the issues instead of talking about the weather. (BTW, most of my experiences with people selling Apple products, like when I tried to return a brand new Iphone and they practically called me a liar regarding my complaints, rather than simply allowing me to exchange the item -- I never ever would purchase another Apple product again after that one.
I hated dealing with sales people, but apparently my boss thought I was especially good at it, so I was always the designated guy, in spite of me being programmer analyst/tech guy.
One thing I was ESPECIALLY good at, not only because I was an introvert, but primarily because I had A. D. D, was programming. It's more because of my A. D. D, but we have a tendency to have this 'superpower', which has been dubbed 'hyperfocus'. I'm not as good at it nowadays because of my age. But essentially, some people with A. D. D. have the ability to focus so deeply on something that the whole rest of the world just disappears to them. I would be staring at my screen, and 3 people would all come to talk to me, and I would be totally oblivious to them because of how deeply focused I was. Very often, the only thing that could snap me out of that was hearing my name. A. D. D. goes very well with being an introvert. Of course, the dark side of A. D. D. is 'zoning out' (ie. losing time) and being on automatic pilot half the time, so that you sometimes discover melted ice cream on top of your refigerator, driving off with your kindle on the roof of your car, reading an entire chapter of a book, and not remembering anything you just read, finding your sneakers in the freezer, putting sweet and low into your scrambled eggs, burning pots and pans, losing your wallet, and finding it in the laundry, and so on.

Me as an introvert
I am queen of imagining scenarios in my head that doesn't exist or never gonna exist, the whole day. like literally.
I think that why does this real world exist. my imagination world is faar better. I like sleeping more so that I could get away from this real world for a while. I like to stay alone in my own bedroom the whole day and listen to music with headphones on. I get irritated when any guests or relatives come at my house.
There's much more things that I have of an introvert. I am a totally introvert but unfortunately my parents doesn't understand me and my situations even after I try to explain them.

The saddest thing is that, almost everyone i know, are extroverts. And they don't understand me at all. They don't understand who i really am. All my friends just leave me because they think that i'm boring and not their thing. I wish to a get a friend who will understand me, one day. Hm. actually. i think i got that one friend. My mind! I separated my body, my heart and my mind as three different beings when i was in deep thoughts. Seems like i got her? She is the friend who always makes me smile, cries with me. AND ALL! I got that one friend! What was i even thinking?

Me personally i am a mix of an introvert and extrovert ( but mostly an introvert) so i can confirm this is true for me personally i love animals, art, reading and nature it makes me feel calmer not having to worry about other people making fun of me because i also am very intelligent so i get called stuff like Techers pet and many other stuff but my extroverted side will kick in then i will act more like a people person but eather way i am an introvert at heart, and i get made fun of but i try to deal with it (the best i can)

Its a, so so true that I triple check, every time when I sharpen the pencil I will rewrite the whole sentence just because the thickness looks different, I also often deleting the half of my essay during work coz I just feel like its not good enough, this is totally why I dont like writing essays physically coz its hard to edit them if Im looking back and found mistakes or whatever Im not satisfied with
But when its notes or non essay stuff I prefer hand written, its kinda satisfying

It's a good idea to avoid using words like never, always, and every when talking about behavior. Better to say rarely, usually, most, etc. Few things in life (especially in human behavior) are absolute.
Normally I enjoy these videos, but I couldn't finish this one. There are many, many characteristics, skills, etc, that lead to someone being a good employee, leader, or friend. Introversion may be one, but it's not the only factor.
Please don't generalize so much. Thanks.

Ive a friend, shes nice& good but most of the time she irritates me. doesnt listen to me, gets upset with me, is stubborn, sometimes forget the manner to talk, she pressurise me to do things which I probably dont like& when I say no she gets upset.
Im an extreme introvert & dont like being with her much.
Recently I told her that I like to be alone with my family and dont like to be with friends much. Shes again upset with me.
Is this a good friendship or not?

reply

Literally all 12 describe me. all I can think is then why doesn't anyone want to be my friend? I have always grown up alone and the facts that no one wanted to be around me or be friendly with me wasn't obvious but because of being an introvert I picked up on it and avoided them by nature because I didn't want to be an inconvenience. Now that I am an adult I can look back and realize how lonely I was and be amazed by how things look to me now.

i'm in love with this comment section oh my god it's so nice to talk about introversion with people who actually understand. i have a few extroverted friends who don't always understand my perspective and that always makes me feel like i'm so weird. i can't keep explaining why i don't go to parties
reply

Wooooh this makes me feel better I thought I was weird and all for being an introvert but now I feel glad for being who I am and I do all of this like this was a good video I loved it and all of this I can relate im glad I'm not the only one and someone can appreciate me for being in introvert
reply

I don't know why but I feel shy and when there is lot of people talking but I can talk I want to but my mouth doesn't want to do it that's why I don't have any good friends and when I feel sad I can't tell anyone but I can understand their feeling but they just don't want to talk with me.
reply

Im quite an introvert. Ive been finding my quality of life to suck because i cant talk that much to many people. Ive been wanting to try to become an extravert, having a friend to help me with that. But now i see i can be comfortable with who i am as a person. Thank you

The one worst thing of being introvert is that you are loyal to your close friend and in the end you are the one who get betrayed easily. Your friends just ignore you like you don't exist between conversations. If you don't talk to anyone they think you are rude and shy

Hey there! This video is spot on! As an introvert myself, I totally relate to these 12 things we're secretly amazing at. From finding cozy nooks to recharge in, to listening intently during deep conversations, us introverts have some unique talents. Can you relate?
reply

While I dont know any other introverts that oppose the things he is claiming, I feel like its inaccurate and possibly irresponsible to make the claim that an introvert would never or always will; are likely to or typically wont seems more appropriate.

As an introvert I used to do political fundraising. The constant rejection was brutal and the reason I finally quit. At my exit interview the manager said that I had consistently raised the most money in the office. That was a suprise.

I'm extrem introvert and my only bestfriend wichs not my girlfriend killed herself. now I guess I will be living alone for the rest of my life because most people around me are pathetic: [
reply

I agree with a lot of them, however I also got severe ADHD so its hard to be a good leader and worker but yes I have been a leader. Im not sure if I was a good one but I tried.
reply

Ugh, small talk is so pointless.
Edit: I'm pretty introverted, but I'm not very empathetic. I generally don't care, but if I do, I will make a big deal of it.

As an introvert sometimes I have to face people's lots of questions!
They just don't understand mebasically they think I am rudebut I like the way I am!

reply

Hi! I am an introvert! I always thought that I am an extrovert because I am talkative (as hell. But apparently, I am not! What an eye-opening video it is!
reply

I used to be pretty good about being a good listener, but a lot of long drawn out conversations over the past decade or so really burned me out on that.
reply

Anyone else just felt satisfied when all of these traits fit you exactly? Besides the part where people talk over you. the truth hurts
reply
