tbh bro i think i have the 2nd one. i remember as a kid, i used to be SO energised and competitive. what i didn't know is that it took skill, and before i knew it, i started losing about 99% of things i wanted to accomplish. this lead to loosing self esteem fast, and by 5th grade, i don't even play competitive gaming and ect. it dosen't feel like deppression, it feels like an slightly depressing cloud of unpositive energy, i even startrd having anger issues, but now.
I Just let it build up. sometimes tears will come out of my eyes. but im not deppressed, i just dont know what it is.
i guess ill never know.

Well, dang.
For a while I felt as though I was struggling, especially in art and school; I felt as though no art piece I made would be good enough despite the improvements I've made. In school I'm even more critical to myself; I almost cried because I got a B+ in Gym class.
I don't know why I was surprised that I recognized all 10 of these signs in myself, but I'm glad I did so I can go easier on myself and really recognize my achievements and progress.
Thanks for another amazing video, Psych2Go!

Nearly our entire perspective is comforting lies. The truth is, if we all died right now, absolutely nothing would happen. Sure the world would be a better place but who cares, the world is a speck. Were a grain of sand at most, you could bomb an orphanage and the rest of the universe wouldnt mind at all. Our lives are just as precious as the animals you eat for dinner, and if anything we deserve to die more. We were a mistake of evolution anyways. Nothing on earth matters.

The first step I took to overcome my debilitating depression and anxiety was to attend workshops and counselling sessions that taught me this same content. for some people who experience these things it makes a world of a difference to realize that you have more power over your mind than you think and that with effort you can get better. It was a long, hard road but so worth it in the end to finally feel free

Filtering is definitely something I do. It's not that I ignore the positives, it's just that it feels like a drop of honey in a cup of really strong coffee, it's sweet but it's almost impossible to taste under all the bitterness.
Honestly, I'm just trying add more honey to my life so that it will someday be balanced enough for me to confidently say, Yep, that was a sweet cup of coffee.

My goodness, it scares me that I literally am all of these. Maybe I should get help, however, when I told my mom that I might have anxiety, she told me to stop it or else doctors would take me away and that I shouldn't be like other kids. From then on, I began to keep things to myself and began to internalize my emotions.

Thought I was humble for not being proud about my achievements. Okay wow.
And thought it's better blame on myself than pointing the finger at others. Well now what?
Over thinks everything and tries to predict people, turning out to be right mooooostly. So how could I help myself stop these?

Ive got like 5/10 I think Im going to see a psychiatrist soon because Ive got everything in the world to be greatful for but damage myself in a lot of these ways. Step 1 is taking notice. Ive been here before, talking to a professional can really make you feel better about yourself

Five out of ten I love how people say be positive I start that way, I do, but then people prove why they cannot be trusted. Or the new job blows up as the people you thought liked you actually didnt. how do you remain positive why history proves again & again that you shouldnt

The more and more I watch videos like this and relate to them, the more I realize I might have anxiety.
(Not trying to self-diagnose and I will talk to a therapist about this and make sure to have a formal diagnosis before I say that I have it)

I don't have depression but I check all of these. Less with 10 because when I do think something is positive I acknowledge and cherish it, but the negative almost always outweighs the good. T_T
I do have an anxiety disorder though.

Do I ever worry about 1 bad mark being the downfall of my entire year?
No
Because all my marks are bad regardless
Like seriously, I'm not even sure how I got into high school

I relate to all of these but I don't want to seem like I have an overly high opinion of myself or that I'm selfish, and it still feels like I'm failing at that.

Oh wow, I relate to all of these examples. That's kinda strange 'cause I have always thought that I am just extremally negative and unconfident

I'm not surprised that I'm relatable to almost every way of thinking, negative thinking brings more anxiety than you can imagine
