My partner is kind of special. He was never really the touchy one. I knew him for 6 years but we just saw each other for birthdays or game nights.
I didn't even know when exactly his birthday was because he never brought that up. He always said he didn't like celebrating it, so he didn't feel the need to tell.
For 6 whole years, we were just people that knew each other. Like the other one exists.
He likes to talk about politics and economics or about games, never really about him or his life. So it was more like a he talked and somebody just listened
But after 6 years I got through his shell and we were walking together because my former boyfriend was just like I know we did this for years now but I don't wanna do it any longer with you. Have fun walking alone.
I'm afraid of being alone in the forest, not because I fear other people but I am a diabetic and if something happens, I like having someone with me.
He wanted someone who would listen to him and I wanted company. So we started to walk together.
After a few weeks I noticed that he started talking about his family. The things he wanted to talk about were done, but he wanted to walk with me. So he told me about his family, where his grandma lived and that he has a twin sister. One day he told me when his birthday was and it was just one week ago so I told him that he could come over and I would cook anything he would like.
He was so grateful that day and after I told my former boyfriend that we would celebrate a birthday with our friend he was like yeah whatever. He even knew the birthday from my now boyfriend but didn't even care to tell or wish him a happy birthday.
After that and a lot of other things before that I was done with my ex.
11 years we were a couple but he stopped to care about anything. He lied to me (and cheated what I realized later) and dod nothing for a future with me.
I'm now happy with my new parnter and we are talking about kids and getting our own home after almost 2 years together

Man I am insanely shy, even watching this doesnt help me think whether I rly have that
So uh, recently Ive started to do this bridging course to hope that I can pass it and get into a university course, and this class has a small group of guys and girls. Thing is though despite the shyness, I will try to talk to both guys and girl regardless cause socialising is important,
But
Theres this one dude (with not a great sleep schedule) who is smart, and also is such an avid gamer I can barely keep up with him when he decides to actually turn and showcase his dmg numbers to me, on the games that I so happen to play but on a more casual basis. But for some reason, compared to other guys, idk what is making me feel like I can only talk to this guy but not the other guys in the same casual way. I seem to just find myself turning to him if I must ask for help, even though I know theres another guy that is pretty solid with having prior knowledge on the subject and is equally available to help the other classmates understand the bridging basics.
Its only been one month tho so maybe Ill give it some slack and try not to think too much about it, given for now we still pretty much work on the basis of he can help me catch up in the work because he does have experience in the field but not the certification to take the university course.
Tldr; I might be crushing on him and also getting weirdly awkward for no reasons too soon, feels too strange for this to happen in one month. Damn it his friendly face is in my head >//
