Newbie here. A few questions:
1. I'm considering cancelling my Verizon business phone account (way too expensive), but I'd like to keep my business numbers. Can I transfer my business numbers to a new Google Voice account, like when you switch carriers?
2. Can I still use my physical desk phones with Google Voice? Or alternatively, are there desk phones available for Google Voice users?

If you have Google voice on your cellphone and your cellphone is connected to your car radio it can be a pain if you select ask each time which phone number to use for an outgoing call. You have to make that selection on your phone and if it's not easy to get to the call will not get made. That is for outgoing calls only. You can set it to manual calls only though if you want to use the Google Voice from your cellphone.

Thank you so much for the good information about Google Voice. From what I understand you saying I would have to use my cell phone to talk live with another person. I can't use the computer to talk thru my microphone? I was hoping I could talk to the other caller without using my phone. Is there any way you can do this, on a Chromebook. Is there another app that can do this?

So, you still have to have an active cell phone number even though you have a cell phone and a SIM card but the number is not in service? If you have Google voice set up on your phone as well does it not just bypass your regular cell phone number all together? So, if you did need to still have an active cell phone number, why is this?

When someone is listening to a greeting, for future same callers, can they push a phone key to bypass the prerecorded message? 1-0, #, - ?

very good tutorial, I live in an area where I cannot get cell phone coverage. I always have to drive to where I can pick up a signal. Will this work if I am home and do not have a cell signal?

What are my options to finding out what number are connected to google voice number. People are abusing google voice and it should be a way to report or trace these people. Any advice
