Of course Ted Ed always has to go into racism. Yeah so this creature that has been in European folklore since the 1400's and was probably used as an excuse to hunt and kill wolves because wolves attack people is about East Asian immigrants in 20th Century America. Yep, that's what they meant in a movie called 'Werewolf of London. ' It was a xenophobic rant towards Asians and the hunters used silver bullets for reasons. That makes total sense. No one can ever talk about anything anymore without vilifying white people even in their own folklore. Werewolves were made because humans have been terrified of wolves since we evolved, wolves and humans are mortal enemies.

Werewolves were humans, who due to circumstances desire power, more than what the human body can give, and are willing to enter into an agreement with certain entities, the entities needs to work within the parameters of the laws of this world, and so infuse that human with a strong animal e. g. wolves, and voila we have werewolves. Despite being 10x stronger than most humans, it is however not immortal and can be killed by various means, no silver bullets required. Sounds crazy right but it is what it is, if you know how to read the codex gigas, therein contain methods of such transformation.

I don't mind being a werewolf. The problem is that I don't want to take a chance to become one like that one night when I was on my motorsickle. It was a full moon and I was at a steady speed on my little 300cc motorsickle. I was riding along when a pack of werewolves came out of no where running right behind me. I noticed that and I just gun it. Luckily I was able to escape and out run them. To this day I don't ride at night even with a bigger bike meow.

If I remember the story of Bisclavret correctly, it ends happily. The knight, now stuck as a wolf, returns to the king. The king, unknowing of the wolf s true form, is very happy to have a tame and loyal wolf as his companion. Eventually, the wolf knight and the king come across the wife of the werewolf, and the wolf attacks her, making her reveal what she s done. The knight gets to return to human form, and it s a happy ending.

My favorite iteration of werewolves comes from the short lived show SPECIAL UNIT 2. The made being a werewolf seem desirable; they don't need to eat or sleep, your senses and physical abilities are cranked up to 11, and you become super energetic and competitive. All the werewolves, or 'thropes' as they were called, are rich high ranking businessmen.

I am from a remote area living on the border line of Afghanistan and Pakistan, we have different breeds of wolves here, gray wolves, white snow wolves and many others, they are vacious and bloody but i have never seen any warewolf or i have never heard any story. I think this mythology belongs to europe and west.

4: 42 like Wolfwalkers. Although there were no puberty allegories in the film ( or maybe I missed something) and wolfwalkers aren't typicall werewolves as we all know, but it is still one of the best modern depictions of the famous monster.
By the way, I'm not a furry. I tolerate them, I'm just not a furry.

In no European society was the wolf the largest predator historically.
The claim that a hollywood movie funded the belief of the infectious nature and origin of lycanthropy etc. is also both western-centric dogma and a ridiculously desperate try to drag racism into this. Simply untrue on its face.

In my culture werewolves fall under the skin walker catagory most people think they magically transform but in reality its an extremely high shaman or warrior who wears the skin of an animal and and acts like it to blend in or scare off foe.

for me werewolves are really fascinated, I could say that I would like to be a werewolf dog I'm not for massacres (and I wouldn't want to risk the fur against the werewolf-killers )
