I am a recovering alcoholic that drank for 20 years. By the end I was jobless, homeless in my car, and out of options. Luckily, I got help, went to treatment, and am now 13 months sober. To anyone struggling you are not alone and people can and will help you. If I could give anyone advice, if you are detoxing from alcohol go to a hospital or detox center. People can die from alcohol withdrawal, I almost did because I just detoxed by myself. Do not do this, get a professional. Addiction is terrible but only quit if you really want to. The choice is yours, no one can make you and don't quit for someone else. Quit for you.

Hi, it was very useful, thank you. I wonder if some more optimistic music could help the learner to have the feeling that quitting is actually not THAT hard and that at the end of the day there is always a good chance only if we try. In other words I mean that trying might surely lead to success in giving up, while not trying to give up is surely will keep the bad habit.
I am not sure if I managed to express myself in an comprehensible way. :(

you guys are making videos about topics that you and thousands of other creators have already done a million times. Can't find any new information in this video that I haven't learned from your previous videos already let alone other creators. out of topics please try to be more creative when making new videos.

as a recovered addict, this video doesnt adress the behavior part, i recommend ppl to find community and support around them, and go do AA or NA meetings, so far this has been the only thing helping me stay sober, addicts need to talk their emotion, thats the root of our issues

Let's keep blaming and shaming the individuals, it has to work at one point.
That way we avoid looking closer at the problem and having to make hard choices. Many people make their leaving of those addicted to their products, an addicted customer is a good customer.

I want everyone to give a pause and think How Big this whole thing is.
It is something that happens in our brain and we have almost no control over it. NO CONTROL on ONESELF
This also highlights why All religions stresses on staying away from intoxicants.

Honeestly whoever created these substances
Did more harm than good
But its sad that these creators had good intentions mostly to help people medically etc.
But unfortunately their creations were abused to death and caused sooo many trgedies

It's good to know why we become addicted to something and how hard it is to overcome addiction so that we can make better decisions before trying anything.

The root of all addictions is the belief that we get happiness from what we are addicted to, even though we sometimes deep down know that to be false.

Addiction is preventable. Nobody can fibd a direct cure. Instead, we impose restrictive and preventive measures to abstain any type of addiction.
