Its often said that despite humanitys many conflicts, we all bleed the same blood. Its a nice thought, but not quite accurate. In fact, our blood comes in a few different varieties. Natalie S. Hodge defines the four major blood types and sheds light on why some bloods can mix while others cannot. Lesson by Natalie S. Hodge

Slightly weird wording. 1: 28 when these are different, one overrides the other, but then A+B = AB.
Also at the end, 4: 20 compared to 13 types found in dogs humans actually have many more blood types, the AB0 and Rhesus factors are just the most dominant and important - there are 28 other blood-group systems that were identified.
Otherwise a nice video, I liked the graphics a lot!

Theres one thing they forgot: its that O, although recessive, stays in your body if one of your parents transferred it to you. Therefore if for example your parents are O and B, you become B but still have the O gene. Therefore you can pass on an O gene even if youre an A or B.
Thats why the O blood type hasnt become extinct.

reply

O- club Yay for no antigens, Covid-19 can't latch on as easily than with A or B antigens. I had toreceive special shots during my pregnancy and right afterward since my husband's blood is A. If not, both my children may have been lost during the pregnancies.

We all have good results,
My Mom A+ Very Good
My Dad B+ Little low dad
My siso AB+ was your result more than dad less than mom, ok
Finally, me
O+ Hey what kind of result that is
Me: I was their coach. I shared with all of them

reply

My parents do get a little confused with our ideas.
My mom: has type A
My dad: Type o
My brother: Type o
I: type A
My mom cant be A type or all of her side will have a type. My brother has o type of blood. My mom is heterozygous.

reply

then explain this: my mom has blood type A, while my dad has blood type O. i was born with A, but my little sister was born with O, like my dad.
wasn't A supposed to take over O since it is dominant? i think this is a lie.

reply

So why do people with AB+ blood type need to donate? I mean they can receive all blood types and only donate to AB+ recipients so I see no use of that
reply

My father is A- and my mother is O+ and i was born with my mother blood type O+. So how didn't the A- from my father overide the O?
reply

My mother is O+ and my dad is B-. when the doctors told my mom I was a B- she was genuinely shocked because she thought my dad was O+ too
reply

My moms blood type is AB and my fathers blood type is o and my blood type is O and my sisters blood type is AB so HOW DOES THIS WORK
