The DNA in just one of your cells gets damaged tens of thousands of times per day. Because DNA provides the blueprint for the proteins your cells need to function, this damage can cause serious issuesincluding cancer. Fortunately, your cells have ways of fixing most of these problems, most of the time. Monica Menesini details the processes of DNA damage and repair. Lesson by Monica Menesini

Hi John, your videos constantly inspire me to think and discover and learn. Today I was inspired to learn about my own state's state insect: coccinella novemnotata or the nine-spotted lady bug. This bug is in fact native to NYS; more broadly it is native to the US and to southern Canada. The lady bug is extremely rare, in fact the last known spotting of this insect in NYS was in 2013 on a farm in Long Island. There was a proposed bill to replace the state's insect in 2006 but it was not passed. I, for one, hope this bill is not passed and I hope somehow, someday this ladybug will find its way back into New York State.

Why not show the actual microscopic video of them doing its respective jobs in Ted Videos? Side by side or semi animated.
Is there scientific ownership or patented findings that can't be cited?
