When you're born with it though you see blurry and wear the thick glasses because the artificial lens doesn't fit the pockets and if they do the surgery when your young you don't have a pocket for it to go into. its a lose lose situation for me especially with the new condition tearing up my vision too.

I once saw a programme on television where a former cataract patient shared why he initially didn't want to have the surgery performed. It was something like he couldn't imagine or he had the fear of surgical instruments coming close to his eye.

My mom has this condition her vision are blurry after visiting lots of doctors finally someone recognized this issue
She is taking medication to lower eye pressure but I wonder if there is a way to improve her sight rather than surgery

People with money still sometimes go for other options than surgery - there MUST be other reasons for why people don't just do the surgery! Also, there should be a medication out soon, in the form of eye-drops, that dissolves cataracts

I am really happy to hear about Aravind eye hospital because they provide free treatment to economically poor people. I think even foreigners can get benefited because it is situated in the vicinity of Coimbatore international airport.

It's not that old people are so naive and ignorant and lack smartphones to know about cataract surgery, it's that performing cataract surgery is here in America.
