Nobel prize actually HAS BEEN awarded post-humously, three times. First two times, the laureats died a few months before receiving it, the third time (a couple years ago, despite a rule of no more post-humous Nobel prizes since 1980) the person receiving it died just a few days before announcements of winners, but the committee didn't know about it. Franklin had been dead for 4 years though, when this Nobel prize was awarded.

I was really fussed up about the fact that my biology professor never gave due to credit to her in class unlike how he always did before explaining us about any experiments or works. She wasn't given credit back then and isn't given even now. Some textbooks don't even mention her name.

people have no problem on recognising that edison stole from tesla but when it comes to franklin's case it's easier to turn things around. women have been given so little to none recognition in history, even tho there are countless that were so revolutionary in their time.
