On their own, any of these make great stories. But each is just one episode in the Odyssey, a 12, 000-line poem spanning years of ancient Greek history and legend. So how do we make sense of this massive text? Jill Dash shares everything you need to know to read Homer's Odyssey. Lesson by Jill Dash

The usual despicable propaganda against Greece and the Greeks. The Greek alphabet was not imported from somewhere,
it was created by the Greeks around 8, 000 years ago. There is evidence that can be inspected and studied in several Mouseia
around Greece. just ask any Archaiologist in Greece. Call or write to any Greek Colsulate or Embassy.

I had to analyse the characters, the dialogue, translate it so i can composition it while reading the ancient text so i could pass 8th grade.
Never got to the ending though

You used the Trojan Horse to talk about the Iliad, however the horse (alongside the last year of the Trojan War) is never mentioned in the poem

Even today, good hospitality and giving gifts is a big part of visiting someones home or celebrations. We take that stuff super seriously.

You can't say Homer's Iliad which tells the story of the Trojan War and show the Trojan Horse which didn't appear in the Iliad.

made for listeners rather than readers agree, got more out of this in the Claire Danes audio book than when I read in uni
