Some perfumers can distinguish individual odors in a fragrance made of hundreds of scents; tea-experts have been known to sniff out the exact location of a particular tea; and the NYC Transit Authority once had a employee responsible only for sniffing out gas leaks. But can anyone learn to smell with the sensitivity of those experts? Alexandra Horowitz shares three simple steps to a better nose. Lesson by Alexandra Horowitz

I like to think that I have a higher than average sense of smell to compensate for my hearing. I can smell chunky peanut butter from smooth peanut butter, rice and it's relative age, and much more.
I once smelled a friend who I've met only a couple of times from across an auditorium at a jazz concert, even when there was a bowl of chinese food in front of me. And if I'm smelling right, you're bored.

Unless you are me since I apparently don't have as many olfactory receptors. If you have packets of salad pas (probably bad spelling) you know they are VERY minty. I can inhale through my nose deeply in these packets and only have a minor reaction to it being minty instead of feeling like my nose is on fire.

I've linked my appetite with smell. My moto is If isn't doesn't smell good, it doesn't taste good. After all, we learn more from our world as we smell it, which ultimately helps us to make decisions.

why am I watching this? I can already smell the morning coffee breaths and people who didn't brush their teeth breath from across the subway car. I don't wanna train to smell those even stronger

I've always been known as a good smeller in my family my nose was able to smell twice as good as a normal one I'd know who's coming even walls away if I know them

I love the smell of cold cold breeze. I dont know why but when I go food shopping, I pick up some steaks and smell the refrigerator instead of the meat.
