Humans know the surprising prick of a needle, the searing pain of a stubbed toe, and the throbbing of a toothache. We can identify many types of pain and have multiple ways of treating it but what about other species? How do the animals all around us experience pain? Robyn J. Crook examines pain in both vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Lesson by Robyn J. Crook

Daily reminder that in Spain they have a tradition where they celebrate toying with, injuring and killing bulls for no other reason than finding it entertaining.
They're not the only offenders. Though not recommended, google Yulin festival for another example of rich culture and tradition.

My dog was outside with me as I was putting swings up on a playfort thing when somehow the swing hit my dog. He ran around in a circle barking (he normally doesnt bark) and went to the door trying to get inside. He doesnt really go near the playfort anymore.

It's unfortunate how we consistently cause animals pain through industries that breed and kill them for food, clothing, and other common items. There are always ways to opt out and purchase plant based options instead!

The true question is are you just lucky that you are one of the few humans compared to zillions of animals? like, how much ants?
