Focus groups have been widely used by organizations and individuals to find out how their products and ideas will be received by an audience. From the usage of household products to a politicians popularity, almost everything can be explored with this technique. But how are focus groups put together? And how did they come about in the first place? Hector Lanz explains how focus groups work. Lesson by Hector Lanz Robert: Apple never used focus groups. They didn't believe in them and instead, focused on creating the best products they could that delighted them and figured that their customers would also be delighted.

. over the years I have noticed that 'Women' lead advertising & marketing 'focus' in that they are ALL high maintenance and spend 10 times the money than men on a daily basis. I have pondered (chicken/egg) about all of the 'native' habits that 'girls' develop from infancy. Conclusion has women easily 'coerced' exploited and discarded at great cost and expense to 'societal' exuberance. Women's Issues pile on an element of concern as violence has become a tool in their arsenal of subjective self-interest as even children are seen as competitors for attention and men seen as 'tools' for innovation and 'improvement' of convenience and comfort for women and more bills for men. Growth (company) is the Pandora's Box that cannot be reversed as more and more devices satisfy (not) women's lust for 'empowerment'. Luxury applies only to women as men are seen to be weak if attenuated to the 'good life'

I hate marketing. Instead of focusing on making a good useful product and trying to sell it on the basis of its good quality, companies try to manipulate us into buying things that most of the time we don't need. Welcome to America where people make a career researching how to rip you off worse and most often. If you are a good victim they give you titles such as preferred customer or loyal customer since xxxx.

FGI's major benefit i think is that it does not require siginificant amount of time and money compared to other methods. As a student learning sociology i find fgi appealing since im a student with limited time and money: )

Jk, I just thought this was funny. I'm not mad or anything like that like other people. Great video with great narration and animation!

I was asked to participate in a focus group a few year ago when I volunteered for a social service agency. We received free pizza and a gift card as compensation for our time. It was pretty fun.

Wait, so Barbie was the creation of little girl focus groups and not some out-of-touch, misogynistic male?
Lol who's getting triggered?
