I saw a picture of a mongolian queen and she was dressed in so many layers of clothing and heavy head piece. I dont know if it was just for the picture of she wore it daily

Why is Batu Khan's wife the Queen of the Mongolians? I thought that the grandson of Genghis Khan that took over the throne was Kublai Khan and not Batu Khan?

Mongolia is quite East in Asia and the Wolga flows in eastern europe
