As the sun rises in 55 BCE, Camma lays two pigeons on the altar at the center of her village. She wrings the birds necks and cuts them open to examine their entrails for divine messages. Camma is a druid. She conducts religious rites, serves as a judge, healer, and scholar, teaches children and mediates conflict between Celtic tribes. Philip Freeman outlines a day in the life of a druid. Lesson by Philip Freeman, directed by Keegan Thornhill

I can't be the only one who paused the video at 0: 49 to read the recipe
Aaand I also tried to read what was written on the parchment at 3: 16 but I only understood _Julius Caesar_--- never mind -. -

I greatly appreciate this content, Ted-ed. It is for me as if this allowed me to live a day, or a couple minutes, a life different from the life I have now.
It's a very pleasant experience for sure.

This should be made into a cartoon series. The Veneti were a Breton tribe in Brittany, who were eventually subdued by Ceasar, once the romans built warships as the Veneti were a seafaring tribe.

The animation seems to imply that Druids were primarily women, when that wasnt true at all. There were female Druids, but this video vastly over represents them

I truly enjoy these for their detail and the fact that it gives background knowlage about tons of places while still making it interesting.

Left out the frequent HUMAN SACRIFICES. And many Druids were men. This is neo-Pagan propaganda, trying to paint Druidism as cool and peaceful.

Tfw youre trying to stop a fight between your mates and their enemies and suddenly recognize your best friend from high school.

I hope Im not the only one that thinks that not having Chris ONeil do the bumbling of the villagers was a missed opportunity.
