Explore the differences between weather and climate what they are, how we predict them, and what those predictions can tell us. From 2016 to 2019, the world saw record-breaking heat waves, rampant wildfires, and the longest run of category 5 tropical cyclones on record. The number of extreme weather events has been increasing for the last 40 years, and current predictions suggest that trend will continue. So, is the increase in extreme weather due to random chance, or changing climate? R. Saravanan investigates. Lesson by R. Saravanan, directed by Hype CG

Yes the climate is changing. Last winter in Europe, year 2019, was the hottest on record by like 2-3 or even 4 celsius above normal. Seems small but it is enough to make no snowfall large parts of western Europe, snow-free Christmas in Moscow ( usually it is -10 C on 25th December) and where I live in southeastern Europe in January we had 15 celsius while normally it should be at 3-4 and birds started to come and plants grew. And when clouds came they started to roar, thunder, and lightning could be seen. This is completely impossible to happen but global warming made it possible how hot the air was. . Once whole Europe was covered with dense forests and in the last 200 years we destroyed 95% of it. So climate change is definitely caused by us

When I first came to the USA it felt weird to see people being scared from a simple thunderstorm, never understood why because I thought the storms from where I come from where normal and common everywhere.
Turns out I was wrong, according to the BBC and the New York Times the storms in my country are so extreme scientific research is being done to figure out how to prevent them in the Northern World.
Your storms are peaceful compared to lightning spreading for kilometers and kilometers of darkened sky.

I don't like COVID not only because it changed our way of life, but it's an example of what Climate change could be. Scientists and lots of research predicted that we wouldn't be prepared for a global pandemic. When COVID first appeared, if we had taken sooner action, it would not be on the scale it is now. Now, the same thing is happening with Climate Change, except, if we keep ignoring it, it's not going to be able to save.

But conservative leaders for changing ways, because it means sacrificing money and power, and potentially losing cultural identity and tradition. And in the end, conservatives value money and power even as the world ends as we know it. And if culture and tradition is doing more harm then good, then our culture and traditions have to change.

Germany's weather is getting pretty unusual too. It's like every summer is getting worse and worse. A few years ago (about 4 years ago) it used to snow here in the southern Germany but now not even a bit. We can still change sth though if people are willing to change their mentality. Hopefully

Could TED Animations be translated into Spanish audio? This is such valuable information that could be really beneficial for non English speakers. Yes, subtitles are an option but some are not literate and could benefit from hearing the information and seeing the images.

if humanity doesnt decrease to 1million people earth is doomed; 3 (1 million is an small number to give the example that the population must be decreased by a lot in order for the earth to be saved) as many might say humans are parasites for earth

Most of us know as much. The real challenge is getting this through the skulls of the coal miners, oil barons, amazon-burners, and other greedy self-centered old douchebags profiting out of killing us all.
