This makes no sense. Given that you don t know your own colour, why does seeing only one of someone else in that colour mean that you now know your colour? For example if your mask was green and you could see two greens but one red, what s to stop you thinking it s red following this logic? Alternatively, if someone can explain that, then at the start when there s two pairs of colours, orange and purple, what s to stop orange thinking they re purple and purple thinking they re orange?

I disagree with the solution. From the 2nd bell thing onwards, it doesn't make sense. Because when someone sees 2 others with the same mask, it also means that each of those two also sees 2 other person with same mask. So, after the 1st bell rings, those 3 people with same mask can never know their mask color by watching the other 2 not go (as the other 2 persons are also thinking the same way. So, 3 (or more) people wearing the same mask can never know their own mask color.

try 2 blue 2 yellow 3 red
5 maroon and 11 green.
the first 3 steps are the same
1) blue +yellow leaves
2) red leaves
3) no one leaves
4) the maroon starts to leave. as soon as the greens see all maroons leaving they know they are not maroon so they should be green so they join them

If I had to undergo a similar logical test to enter a rave, my desire to join the rave would increase twofold.
Granted I'll probably be stuck outside due to my poor logic skills, but I'd at least want to try getting into a riddle rave.

Everyday I wake up every morning to a bed that's too small.
And drive my daughter to a school thats too expensive.
And then work for a job in which I get paid too little.
But on Riddle day?
I like Riddle day.

I got a riddle for Ted-Ed
If you get 10 million views on this video how many viewers do you think solved the riddle?
Trick question They don't
Just like an anime opening they skip the intro to watch the plot

The rule about multiple colors combined with the singular color was overly confusing for this riddle. Consider revising something like the fourth bell was the first time multiple colors of masks were able to leave. '

Event #4 was written in a way that completely threw me down the wrong trail. it led me to believe they were wearing clothes of a different color and not two different groups of colored masks.
