What is mine and what is me is on a gradient, but I'm a mind with a body. If you cut me into pieces, the piece that perceives is me. My hand is part of me, but only when it's functioning with me, the mind. You could also say in some sense our online presence, smartphones, clothes etc. is part of us to a smaller degree. The thing that is perceived, the outside world, we can't be too sure if it is real. But I can be sure that the story I tell myself, the movie I watch of the outside world is real. I think (like in a very vague, religious kind of way without any proof) the mind stems from something deeper, some kind of deeper consciousness, that has the ability to express itself and communicate with different parts of itself/eachother through the material organisms of life. If it doesn't make any sense, check out Donald Hoffman.

Let us ask this question: If the body always needed to experience a physical world then why some people dreaming of falling from heights wake up as it feels real. So the physical experience of falling from heights can be experienced in the mind itself. Many others have reported not able to differentiate between the dream experience and reality. SO, IS THE MIND ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU FEEL THAT THINGS ARE REAL, INDEPENDENT OF 3D REAL WORLD EXPERIENCES, ALTHOUGH THE IN THE DREAMS, THE MIND TAKES ITS REFERENCES FROM WHAT WE CALLED A REAL WORLD!

in reality, if you do the same thing with both the real and the fake hand, with the real hand covered, in which you don't know what they are going to do with your ral hand, only know through the fake hand, then if you stabbed the fake one, then why can they sure that their real hand will not be stabbed?
So i think it's just the reflection of the action with the lack of evidences that give the human the subjective thought that their real one will be stabbed too.
So we are a body with the mind i guess?

I believe I am a body with a mind, but I've got something to add. Everything about me can be described through information about my genetics and experiences. But the only thing that makes me different from a fully detailed description of me is that a description can not think or feel anything, even though it can tell you how all the thinking processes work. So, Cogito ergo sum.
Thank you for the video! Also, it's adorable that God has nail polish: .

It's the soul that has a link between the mind and the body. They both perform according to the instructions of the soul. And soul gains cognition with the help of the two.
Realization of temporary and permanent traits can resolve the problem of which proceeds the two.
To know, these 2 become the principal causes; and to perform, the soul becomes the administrator.
It's all about the instrumental and the transcendental cause.

WHY DOES ANYTHING EXIST?

So what happens when you upload your consciousness to a computer and do the ol' copy paste? Could you then mass duplicate and upload an army of your own consciousness into and army of robots? Or if cloning is also a thing, multiple clones of yourself? How would those clones behave? Like the original you, or would they try and seek their own identity, similar to the star wars clone wars series I guess.

Eastern philosophies (try shankya philosophy or the writings of pathanjali, Yoga Sutras and Swami Vivekananda' commentary on it) have been talking about this very thing since stone age times. A passing mention of Buddhism (one of the youngest philosophies) shows a lack of research.

You make several fallacies here. But one being that the mind is separate from the body. we know from modern science this is not true. Philosophy has since evolved to adapt to this. Ask yourself is your mind separate from your brain? I think you get me now
