Discover the unique conditions that make the Black Sea host to dozens of shipwrecks that date back thousands of years. In 2017, researchers off the Bulgarian coast discovered the oldest intact shipwreck ever found. This ancient Greek vessel was not only nearly 2, 500 years old, but was just one of 65 shipwrecks found at the bottom of the Black Sea in remarkable condition. So, why does the Black Sea contain so many well-preserved shipwrecks? Helen Farr and Jon Adams dive into the depths of the unique body of water. Na: Just imagine how advanced civilisations thrived 2500 or even 5-10000 years ago. Vested interests have twisted history as if everything happened in 2000 years

Anyone else notice at 1: 18 how Turkey is referred to as The Mediterranean? That really confused me, as in if it's really that, then why are both bodies of water a different color?

That's such a fascinating time capsule. Wish you would've shared some actual video or pictures, instead of animation, but I'll do some research of my own. Thanks for sharing!

When you invent a ship, you invent a shipwreck
Sounds very similar too.
When you give birth to a child, you give birth to a dissapointment.

Someone should definatley develop an underwater restoration process and bring it to the surface to be used again! Dont tell me thats impossible

Can Bay of Bengal also be a well preserved pickle jar? Since it lies in ocean, but has land on 3 different sides and also receives fresh water!

Isn't it pointless to say something like look how well preserved this shipwreck is and not show us a picture of it but rather a cartoon?

What do you mean they couldn't bring it up; bring a jar, put wood in jar, bring the jar up. For bigger pieces, bring a bigger jar.

Does that mean human bodies could also be found preserved on the ship?
If no, why? They too are organic as wood of the ship.
