Personal sacrifice in the face of danger and the possibility of loosing your life serving your country in the time of war. The Greatest Generation not only applies to the men who fought in WW11 but also the women who tried to nurse them back to health and the women who worked in factories in America and Great Britain to build the weapons for the military.

You can see in their eyes, when they share a memory of a certain patient, that they are back living inside the memory. Unfortunately all of Europe and particularly France has forgotten how many Britain's, Canadians and Americans sacrificed and died so they could enjoy the lives they have right now. They despise Americans.

I am studying to become a registered nurse and it is stories like these of the student nurses and nurses before me that makes me so proud and humble to be trained in this field. How lucky we are to have had them- I can only wish to have their strength, dignity and wisdom that they had. Angels of mercy indeed

I would like to serve. Hallie Sloan This attitude defined the Greatest Generation. No, they werent perfect, but that sense of service and community isnt as pervasive as it once was. Were more focused on ourselves.

Why so much background music and noise! I'm here for the stories not for some mix of ballroom music and video game soundtrack. Couldn't watch!
