This report is based on the information obtained from the interrogation of twenty Korean comfort girls and two Japanese civilians captured around the tenth of August, 1944 in the mopping up operations after the fall of Myitkyin a in Burma.

The report shows how the Japanese recruited these Korean comfort girls, the conditions under which they lived and worked, their relations with and reaction to the Japanese soldier, and their understanding of the military situation.
A Korean comfort girl is nothing more than a prostitute or professional camp follower!
The interrogations show the average Korean comfort girl to be about twenty-five years old, uneducated, childish, and selfish. She is not pretty either by Japanese of Caucasian standards.
In Myitkyina the girls were usually quartered in a large two story house (usually a school building) with a separate room for each girl. There each girl lived, slept, and transacted business. In Myitkina their food was prepared by and purchased from the house master as they received no regular ration from the Japanese Army. They lived in near-luxury in Burma in comparison to other places. This was especially true of their second year in Burma. They lived well because their food and material was not heavily rationed and they had plenty of money with which to purchase desired articles. They were able to buy cloth, shoes, cigarettes, and cosmetics to supplement the many gifts given to them by soldiers who had received comfort bags from home.
While in Burma they amused themselves by participating in sports events with both officers and men, and attended picnics, entertainments, and social dinners. They had a phonograph and in the towns they were allowed to go shopping.
The girls were allowed the prerogative of refusing a customer.
In the latter part of 1943 the Army issued orders that certain girls who had paid their debt could return home. Some of the girls were thus allowed to return to Korea.

I can see there are a few negative comments on Japan side. Well, some of the far right minorities who dont recognize their war crime in Japan still exist, but they cant represent the mainstream in Japan nowadays. The unreliable history textbook is used by very tiny group of people. On the other hand, the CCP is very good at rewriting history and even cover some truth. And they represent the main voice of China nowadays.
China wouldnt hold any longer if US didnt take part in the war against Japan. Also is was the KMT that mainly fought with Japanese army. But if you read Chinese history textbook, you will find completely different stories: KMT is evil, US is the enemy, no responsibility for the famine which caused millions of lives, and not a single word about the Tiananmen massacre.
Japan used to be in the dark, but they are now embracing democracy and freedom. China used to be the victim of a war, but they are now covered with so many lies under authoritarian regime.

A mass grave of 10, 000? How about the Chu pits where Chu soldiers buried 200, 000 Qin soldiers alive? Oh thats right China hasnt killed millions of their own people for thousands of years. War magically had rules all of a sudden. How unfortunate for the Japanese with the Chinese pretending to be victims as if they didnt write the book on atrocities. Literally went an burned E Pang palace down and slaughtered the king after he surrendered and looted the Qin capital just because Qin had defeated Chu once upon a time. But low and behold Im supposed to hold the Japanese accountable for doing the exact same thing the Chinese have always done themselves? World war 2 is one big joke of hypocrisy from my country America to China. But the Chinese of all people to this day celebrate the slaughter of their own people and pretend as long as it was Chinese slaughtering Chinese it was just fine.

As the narrator mentioned many times, the Japanese invaded China's Manchuria in 1931. WWII ended in 1945. So China in fact fought a long war for 14 years. Although the title of this video refers to the whole scale war in China starting from the Battle of Marcobolo Bridge as a forgotten war. The producer of the video himself also forgot to include the war in China before the breakout of the Battle of Marcobolo Bridge.

The communists were not a major party in China during those times. They were present, but fairly weak. The CCP likes to claim victory over the Japanese, but in reality, it were the forces of chiang kai shek and other warlords that contributed the most to the fight. If I remember correctly, the communists only ever directly fought in 2 major battles in the China theatre, out of 100+ major battles.

It's crazy how the Japanese committed the most heinous war crimes in history, but everyone feels bad for them bc of the atomic bombs (which ended the war outright, that would've kept going on for years and claimed millions more lives if fought conventionally. Especially civilians, with the Japanese infatuation with rp3 and killing of innocent women and children in those days)

I have a relative who insists China was not involved in World War II. World War II, she insists, started when Germany invaded Poland. Anything before that was a separate war. It is frustrating talking to her. For people in China, and Korea for that matter, war had been continuous for a long time before the agreed destruction of Poland by European powers.

It always fascinate me to see, read articles, documentaries like this, seeing videos of some of the most fascinating things I've found out, eversince I got hooked reading encyclopedias. i start skipping classes, I was 4th grader then, cause they don't teach this to us. after the defeat of Japan, the Japan's fate has been sealed. currently, Japan is US' dog pet. once China dominated (not usurped) the world, Japan's monarchy will surely perish. US made sure that even if they lost control of Japan, China's hatred is an insurance that Japan wont get a 2nd chance

just watched a u tube of Japanese soldiers revisited the island they fight with Americans. I can see the Japanese soldiers are still so proud to defend their country, they did not feel sorry that they invadthe other country and murdered and brutal killing of millions people!
